Kid Cudi (@kidcudi) has been promising fans new music for a while, and has finally delivered with the date of his third and final installment of Man On the Moon, coming this Friday, December 11. The original album came out more than a decade ago in September 2009, with Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager following closely after in 2010.

Man on the Moon III: The Chosen marks the end of Cudi’s groundbreaking trilogy, and to commemorate it he posted a trailer including old footage from ‘Day N’ Nite’ and concert reels. The trailer teases the new album with some never-before-seen footage, ending with an image of Cudi smoking while gazing at a red moon. The caption read “THE TRILOGY CONTINUES…SOON.” on his Instagram.

What To Expect From Cudi’s New Albums

The 18-track record includes artists Phoebe Bridgers, the late Pop Smoke,  Trippie Redd, and more.

His most recent works include his collaborative album Kids See Ghosts with Kanye West, and the song ‘The Scotts’ with Travis Scott. They hinted that there will be  more music released in the future by the same name, The Scotts. He also featured on Selena Gomez’s newest album, Rare, in the song “A Sweeter Place”.

The 36-year-old has hinted of two new albums, Man On The Moon III and Entergalactic, expected to come out in the summer of 2021. In October, he warned fans on Twitter that his seventh studio album should not be compared to his previous albums. He pointed out, the album “Will be nothing like any of my previous work just like all my releases. My first 2 albums were meant to be untopped. I didn’t even think I’d live to make another record after motm 2… My point is, u cant top timeless. And that was what we aim for every time.”
