When the world is in flames and there seems to be a need for more leaders to use their voice, artists from all generations of hip hop are taking the time to sit down and talk about relevant issues and topics. Lil Wayne, Joe Budden, T.I., and Nikki Minaj have all started their own podcasts speaking towards racial tension in America, Covid-19 struggles, and news in the rap community. One common denominator between them is that, for the most part, there isn’t a lot of good news and lighthearted conversations to be shared, as a result of the times we live in. Kid Cudi has seemed to recognize this, and is now preparing to launch his own podcast focussing on “All love and no sh-t talking”.
The response he got was overwhelmingly positive as he posted a Tweet at 8:34pm on June 24th saying, “Should I do my own podcast??”, and just an hour later stated, “Ok…im doin my own podcast then.” It is said to include friends of his, uplifting artists, and fans, making every attempt to avoid drama on the show. “It’ll be like ur hangin w me smokin and shootin the shit for awhile. Itll be meant to comfort the lonely,” proclaims Kid Cudi. Not much information has been released about the podcast yet, but tuning in will definitely give you a break from the madness going on all around.
