Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Are Headed Toward Divorce

After 7 years of marriage, Kim Kardashian (@kimkardashian) and Kanye West (@kanyewest) are heading toward divorce.

After months of rumors about the two’s relationship status, Kim is reportedly filing for divorce with celebrity attorney Laura Wasser. “He knows that she’s done,” a source tells People about Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Kanye has been wanting to make it work, and Kim has tried for a long time, sources say.

Currently, Kim lives in California and runs her businesses, but her main concern is raising her children. West lives in his ranch in Wyoming at the moment and is also focusing on work. They have been living separately for a few months now.

Although the two have gone to marriage counseling, a source tells ET they haven’t made “much headway”.

KimYe’s Past Struggles

West participated in the 2020 presidential election, during which he said some pretty controversial and reckless things about his wife and family. He started his rally in South Carolina, and shocked many with statements such as implying Harriet Tubman did not actually free slaves and that he almost killed his daughter. Soon afterwards, he tweeted that he’s been trying to divorce Kardashian since 2018 and called his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, “Kris-Jong-Un” in another tweet.

Kim responded to West’s tweets and the public’s reaction on her Instagram stories. She asked her followers for compassion and understanding for her husband, who has bipolar disorder. She explained, “Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand.”

As to when Kim will file for divorce, a different source says that “it will happen eventually, but she’s waffling.”
