Kodak Black (@kodakblack) has a new release date from prison – November 3rd, 2022. The Pompano Beach native was supposed to be released around August 2022, but DJ Akademiks tweeted the new release date yesterday.

In May 2019, the rapper was arrested at the Rolling Loud (@rollingloud) concert in Miami, FL. In November 2019, he plead guilty to the charge of illegal firearm possession and was sentenced to 46 months in prison.

Kodak Moves from Kentucky Facility to Illinois Facility

Last month, Black was transferred from a maximum-security facility in Kentucky to Illinois. He complained of excessive harassment and torture from the guards. After filing a lawsuit about the whole situation, they agreed to move him to a prison closer to his family and friends. Black is now being held in USP Thomson, a high-security prison. Kodak’s attorney says the guards in Illinois have been more professional.

Kodak Gives Back

According to TMZ, Kodak wanted to give back and donated 1,000 turkeys to families in his home town, Pompano Beach. His attorney, Bradford Cohen, said that Kodak spent over $15,000 on these turkeys for the community. On November 11th, they were distributed at E. Pat Larkins Community Center. The families also received chips and sodas.

Bill Israel Album

Kodak released his first album while in prison, Bill Israel. The name arises from his real name, Bill, and his newfound appreciation and interest in religion, specifically Judaism. The album contains 11 tracks and features big names such as Tory Lanez, Lil Yachty, and Gucci Mane. Fans are excited to see what else Kodak has been working on while behind bars.
