LeBron James Crowns Jadakiss “Most underrated Hip-Hop Artist of All Time”

If you’ve been on any Hip-Hop related internet recently, then you’ve seen Jadakiss’ name everywhere.  On Tuesday night, The LOX and Dipset had a Verzuz battle, and through Jadakiss’ skill and crowd control, The LOX took an easy victory.

Nobody could get enough of Jada, as he dominated the show and generated his biggest hype in years.  One such example comes from LeBron James, who daringly tweeted that Jadakiss is the most underrated artist in Hip-Hop’s history.  Is he though?

Honestly, it’s quite possible. With the likes of Jay-Z and Eminem, Jada was without a doubt one of the standout MC’s in the late-90’s/early2000’s era.  As the most famous of the three (equally talented) LOX, his bars, flow, and of course, his voice are nonpareil. The LOX were part of Bad Boy Records in its golden age and then moved to the Ruff Ryder label with DMX, founding a whole new era.

Jada might be overlooked due to none of his solo works being all-time favorites, but if you look closely, he hasn’t missed either. He has solid solo outings from 2001 all the way to 2020, giving him consistent longevity that most MC’s couldn’t touch.  And his 2004 album, ‘Kiss of Death,’ is an absolutely essential listen.

In each era since he began, Jada is also one of the most coveted feature artists around.  In 2016, his verse on ScHoolboy Q’s ‘Groovy Tony‘ was so good that Q added another verse so he wouldn’t get washed on his own song!

Lastly, Jadakiss and LOX brother, Styles P, basically have a patent on the bar trade.  Few things are better than when two MC’s go back to back on lyrics, but no pair has ever done it better than these two.

Still not convinced? Yeah, that’s what we thought.  While “most underrated of all time” has many suitors, its clear that Jadakiss has a spot in that conversation.  Don’t just ride the hype though!  Take this time to really get into him; you won’t regret it!
