RIP To A Legend BB King
The world lost a legend today. One of the most influential Blues singer/songwriter’s of all time BB King sadly passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 89. King passed in his Las Vegas home on Thursday (May 14)9:40PM, his attorney Brent Bryson confirmed to the Associated Press.
B.B. King is considered one of the most influential artists of all time, who helped pioneer the Blues genre. He was born as Riley B. King in Mississippi in 1925 and had a widely successful career that lasted almost 70 years. His first notable chart-topping single was “Three O’clock Blues,” which came out in 1952, and after that, King took off, dropping over 30 albums and earning a slew of awards and honors throughout his career.
The Blues legend was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1990, which officially solidified his impact on the genre and on the world.
