While amidst years of major success, Lil Baby and Lil Durk have apparently combined forces and make a whole album together. The album, titled ‘The Voice of the Heroes,’ will drop on June 4th. While initially set for May 28th, they decided to push it back to honor DMX and his posthumous release, ‘Exodus,’ dropping on the same day.
Atlanta Remains at the Top
The hype for this album is enormous for the fact that Lil Baby alone is involved. The Atlanta native is crowned as Hip-Hop’s champion of 2020 but shows no signs of slowing down. His album, ‘My Turn,’ is now triple platinum and is one of the biggest of the past year. Additionally, his recent feature run demonstrates pure hunger and increasing skill, especially killer on J. Cole’s ‘Pride is the Devil.’ As the rapper gains further notoriety, he continues to improve and inspire. With his increasing abilities in writing, performance, and overall cultural elevation, there’s no doubt that Baby comes correct on this.
Chicago Still Demands Attention
While Baby is the big ticket name, Lil Durk is no slouch. With around a decade of work under his belt at still just age 28, Durk has been making big waves in the past couple of years. A solidified Chicago legend, Durk is also widely noted for mentoring the late talent, King Von. Additionally, Durk was featured on Nas’ 2020 Grammy award-winning album, ‘King’s Disease.’
If you’re impatient for this release, check out their collaboration track on DJ Khaled’s most recent album, ‘Khaled Khaled.’ The two appear in peak form and ready to shake up the game even further. There’s no question that ‘Voice of Heroes’ will be a success, with their current hot streaks. Not only will Baby maintain his superstardom, but it also looks like Durk will finally get a bigger spotlight. Win win!
