Lil Nas X’s new album is coming out on September 17th. In a short video posted on September 1st, the rapper revealed a new album tracklist. The author of Montero’s hit has recorded an eponymous album, which features Jack Harlow, Doja Cat, Elton John, and more.

Once out, Montero’s features faced criticism on Twitter. People were blaming the artist for not inviting any black male artists to the record. For example, @JiggleClayLTD tweeted: “Lil Nas X’s album has no black male guest lol. Just women & white men. No agenda tho.” In response, Lil Nas X assumed the problem might be that “a lot of them just don’t wanna work with me.”

Soon enough, Kid Cudi reached out to Lil Nas X and offered to “work w u and frolic in rose gardens w u singin about my pain.” Lil Nas X then said that “u heard it here first, everybody Kid Cudi x Lil Nas for montero deluxe.”

With a lot of attention in the media, the artist’s upcoming album is promising and keeps the fand excited. Now they also have a deluxe album version to wait for. People seem to be happy about the featuring too.
