Lil Nas X has announced a new North America and Europe tour. It is going to be from fall to winter of this year. This is going to be his first-ever tour. During the announcement trailer, he specifically requests that homosexuals do not show up.
The announcement video came out on Apr. 26. In it, he announces the name of the tour and that this is going to be his first tour. He also says “Everyone’s allowed… except gay people.”
That is very obviously supposed to be a joke. Throughout the trailer, we see Nas in various costumes, some of which are female clothes. When he says it, there is a transition from him and his dance crew being in pink clothes to them being naked. For those still not convinced, a couple of seconds later, there is a scene of him making out with his now ex-boyfriend, Yai Ariza. Lil Nas X has been out of the closet since 2019. There have been homophobic remarks against him ever since.
This is going to be the first tour with an exclusive ticket presale through Cash App. On Apr. 27-28, Cash Card holders can purchase tickets by using the first nine numbers of their Cash Card on Ticketmaster. Tickets are for sale here.
The tour is named “Long Live Montero”. It is in honor of his recently released debut album, “Montero”. Below is the trailer, as well as the list of dates and locations for the tour.
