Lil Wayne Links Up With Young Money Crew At 39th Birthday Bash, Receives Petty Comments From Nicki Minaj

Lil Wayne celebrated his 39th birthday this year with the likes of Drake, Mack Maine, and other members of Young Money. However, fans were quick to notice that Nicki Minaj wasn’t in attendance. Once photos from the get-together went viral, Minaj aimed a few petty (and completely harmless) comments at her former label mates.

“I had so much fun,” she jokingly wrote under Mack Maine’s photos. He responded with, “Lawwwdddd, Don’t do it like that, Nicketo!!! This shit was so last minute. We could run it back, deaux. It wasn’t complete without you.”

Although it was a spontaneous gathering, there were several musicians and notable figures in attendance. Surprisingly, Reginae Carter, Lil Wayne’s daughter, seemingly missed her invite. She also wrote under Mack Maine’s photo with a verbal jab, saying

“They always do that shitttttt. They did it to me last time sis. It’s okay!”

Drake, who was signed to Young Money as well, delivered a heartfelt toast for Weezy during their time at the swanky Swan restaurant in Miami.

He said,
“We don’t get a chance to gather as a family much anymore. I still, to this day, get nervous speaking about this man because, at the end of the day, as much of a brother and a mentor as he is to me, he’s still my idol. And still, somebody who just puts me in a place where, when I start thinking about him, I start thinking about my family.
