Lil Wayne drops Dedication 6 on Christmas

Lil Wayne has decided to give the world a Christmas present by releasing Dedication 6. D6 is the sixth installment of Weezy’s Dedication mixtape series with DJ Drama. Fans have been waiting for any form of music from Weezy since he still has been unable to drop his Carter 5 album due to legal issues with his Cash Money label.December 6, 2017, Lil Wayne took to Instagram to let the world know” it was time” and that you can sign up for updates and music before the drop date, he let his fans know he does it all for them.

The Dedication Mixtapes started in 2005 with DJ Drama producing and hosting the mixtape.The series started because Tunechi wanted to dedicate the music to everyone around the world and all the fallen soldiers. The Dedication 6 project has been talked about since 2016 and it seems to be finally coming to fruition. It makes sense for Weezy to drop a project now, with the hopes of giving the fans what they want while still waiting to get what he deserves. The legal issues between Wayne and Baby have really taken a toll, the hold up of the Carter 5 has put fans in a place that they could have never imagined the world has never had to wait so long to get Music from Weezy. The last Wayne projects that were released was the F.W.A(Free.Weezy.Album), Sorry 4 the wait 2, and No Ceilings 2 all of which were released in 2015. Mixtape Weezy is a fan favorite seeing as when he does a mixtape he tends to be more lyrical as opposed to trying to make radio-friendly songs.Dedication 6 holds so much excitement around it because Weezy has been silent for so long. As a fan, my ears are looking forward to Christmas Day just to hear some Lil Wayne music.
