LLOYD BANKS ADDRESSES 50 CENT IN “STRANGER THINGS”

Lloyd Banks re-triggers the beef between himself and 50 Cent in his new song “Stranger Things.” The musician recently dropped a new album as well titled The Course of The Inevitable. The last time Banks released an album was ten years ago.

In “Stranger Things,” the rapper throws shots at his former longtime friend, 50 Cent.

He delivers, “when you’re f*cked up, behavior turns irregular quick, sometimes the pressure overwhelms when you’re the head of the clique.”

Afterward, he says,

But don’t get ahead of yourself, I ain’t bending for sh*t / Nobody sees your vision until you’re successful.”

He even responds to 50 Cent’s alleged comment about him being lazy. The Power curator vocalizes his thoughts on Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo in his new book, Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter. He says on one page,

“I always felt that if I had maybe done a better job teaching Banks and Yayo how to evolve and change their habits, they each would be in better places right now,” he said in the book, noting they both had “unfulfilled potential.” “While I was out hustling, Banks was more content staying on his porch and watching the world from there. … Banks wanted things to come to him, as opposed to going out and getting them for himself. That’s not me trying to assassinate his character—the guy has ‘Lazy Lloyd’ tattooed on his arm. He literally wears his laziness on his sleeve.”

He also implies that he didn’t want to help Banks, saying “this is someone I can’t invest another minute or dollar in.

Addressing this not-so-nice statement, Lloyd Bank raps in the second verse:

Your favorite’s nowhere near me when I’m dedicated/Always humble, usually disciplined and never hated / Call me quiet, call me lazy, talent never faded / It’s frustrating when your grindin’ ain’t appreciated / Should have been dead in my twenties, shit, at least I made it / Guess I gotta prove myself again, increase your payment.”

Yikes, given these points, we can assume they aren’t rekindling their close bond.
