Travis Scott is having a hell of a year! First Astroworld, then multiple lawsuits, and now this. Today’s breaking news reads Malu Trevejo, an artist under Travis Scott’s label, promises to keep good on threats to spill the tea if not released from her contract. And she’s got the attention of the entire world.
Trevejo’s History in the Industry
Trevejo got her start on Tik Tok. Her impressive dance moves turned more than a few heads and earned her a massive following. Trevejo wanted more, so she took things one step further, launching her career in singing. Her first track “Luna Llena” was released in 2017. The artist credits Instagram for the success of her music career. At 15, Trevjeo amassed 5 million followers on Instagram in only one year. The young artist had this to say to People at the time,
“I started like a year ago, I posted a video of me dancing, and people liked it a lot and started reposting it. I started getting followers and started doing more music videos and videos of me dancing.”
The rest is, as one says, history.
Is the past repeating itself?
In this instance, we can’t be sure. However, we know this isn’t the first time the star has been on the outs with her managing label. According to Hot New Hip Hop, due to issues with her former label, In-Tu Linea, Trevejo voided her contract and sued them.
What flavor Tea is Trevejo Serving up?
Right now, no one knows what Trevejo has on Scott? Whatever it is, it can’t be good, and it must be juicy. Her threat is for immediate release. And, according to the nature of her social media post, she isn’t playing either.
Trevejo went all the way in,
“Let me out of the contract really don’t wanna expose the behind-the-scenes s****, so just let me out of it!!!”
Reports show that that wasn’t enough; the star got right back on social media to get her point across.
Threat Might be Karmic
By now, it’s obvious the sky is falling all around Scott. Without a doubt, Trevejo knows something. The sad thing is she’s not the only one trying to distance herself from the artist. People are now also avoiding him like the plague. The very same source is also reporting Trevejo’s threat is reporting even the producer of Coachella is dropping Scott from their 2022 lineup. And to make matters worse, they will not even let the guy perform for free. As the source notes,
“Following Coachella’s producer Goldenvoice officially dropping Travis Scott as the headliner for its April 2022 three-day festival, Travis’ booking agent Cara Lewis, reportedly presented the offer that he would instead perform for free…but that offer was quickly declined.
Trevejo Has Lit an Inextinguishable Match
Many people hope that Scott will hold out on releasing Travejo to hear what she’s got on him. But, as of now, there hasn’t been any response from Scott or his team. And there is no telling which way the winds of this drama will blow. But FM Hip Hop will be right here to deliver the scoop.
