Megan Thee Stallion shares kind words with fans after her album Good News goes platinum

The Megan Thee Stallion 2020 album Good News has reached one million sales! The Recording Industry Association of America confirmed this milestone earlier this week. It is her first album to do so, and her second time to have a project gain status from the RIAA (the Suga EP is certified gold). The album was undoubtedly a hit with features from big names, including Beyoncé, Young Thug and SZA. Earlier this year, the Houston rapper reached gold status with her album by reaching 500,000 sales. It’s clear that Good News set the hot girl standards for 2021. She shared words with her fans regarding the big accomplishment, “This is my first platinum album and I’m so proud!” she said in an Instagram post.

“I made majority of this album in my living room during quarantine and to see it really do [its] thing makes me so happy !”

Fans applauded Meg for the accomplishment. Along with that, her successes continues to grow this week! Today, she broke more barriers by becoming the first female rapper to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated SwimsuitThe “Cry Baby” artist took to social media once again to share the announcement, thanking the strong women in her life for the confidence she has in herself. With all of her groundbreaking accomplishments, we can’t wait to see what Meg Thee Stallion does next!
