Method Man Looks To Join The MCU

Marvel is no stranger when it comes to having rappers in their casts. They had T.I. in Ant-man, Donald Glover in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Mahershala Ali as the new Blade. They also had Method Man, who wants to join the MCU, in the Luke Cage Netflix series.

Currently, Method plays a defense attorney in 50 Cent’s Power Book II: Ghost, but he wants to do more with his acting career. During an interview with Insider, he spoke about his health and fitness journey and his goal of becoming a superhero.

“Maturity is when you look in the mirror, and you get tired of your BS,” Method said in the interview. “And that was it for me. You know, I was just wanting to change. I wanted to do something for myself instead of for everybody else. I can only be responsible for my actions and hope it inspires the next generation to do the same.”

He also added:

“This whole journey wasn’t necessarily for acting. It was for myself, but I think I’m ready. I got the shirt-off action film thing. I could run, stoic, face straight, running with your shirt off kinda thing. You know, I’m ready, man. Come on, Marvel. Come on, Russo brothers. I’m here.”

The Russo brothers have directed some of Marvel’s biggest movies, such as Captain America: Winter SoldierCaptain America: Civil War, and Avengers: Endgame. Right now, there’s no news on whether Method will join the MCU, but he can score a role.

Method Man In Luke Cage

As stated before, Method made a cameo in Netflix’s 2016 show Luke Cage. Luke Cage saves the rapper and another employee from two burglars robbing their convenience store. The two then give each other respect before they trade jackets.

Since Method has been working on his fitness, he’s ready for more than a cameo. He’s prepared to be a full-on action star. What do you think?
