Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand Donated $1 Million To Organizations Fighting Racism

Michel Jordan and his Jordan Brand donated $1 million. The money went to foundations fighting to eradicate racism.

The donation is also a part of Jordan’s effort to support Black communities. Jordan’s Brand president, said the company has “been focused on providing access to education, mentorship, and opportunity for Black youth.”

“Every single application was a reminder of the unique impact and powerful personal connections local community efforts can make happen,” Williams also added. “Making a decision on the first cycle of 18 organizations selected was certainly not easy.  “We are thrilled to not only stand behind them but look forward to continuing to offer this program each year.”

“But we know we can do more,” Williams also said. “In addition to the investment from NIKE Inc., we are announcing a joint commitment from Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand to donate $100 million over the next ten years. We must join forces with the community, government, and civic leaders to create a lasting impact together.”

“Action over words is the foundation of our Black Community Commitment,” said Michael Jordan himself.
