Mike Tomlin Becomes The Winningest Black NFL Coach

Mike Tomlin, head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, becomes the winningest black coach in NFL History.

On Sunday, The Steelers defeated the Baltimore Ravens in a 28-24 win. Tomlin scored his 140th win passing Tony Dungy for most wins as a black NFL Coach.

Tomlin became the head coach of the Pittsburgh steelers in 2007. He was named the youngest NFL coach at 36 years old. Under his leadership, the team earned six AFC North titles, 8 consecutive playoff appearances , and one Superbowl win in 2008. According to the Steelers, Tomlin became one of three head coaches in NFL history to win a Superbowl within the first two years coaching.

Since the start of the 2020 season, the steelers continue to dominate the NFL. The steelers is still the only undefeated team in the league. Their 7-0 record also puts them as the number one team in the AFC North .

On Sunday, the steelers will play the Dallas Cowboys (2-6).
