Last night, on July 20th, 2021, the Milwaukee Bucks won their first NBA championship since 1971! In one of the most exciting playoff seasons in a long time, the Bucks overcame some major opposition and brought it home with a score of 105-98.

First, we have to quickly acknowledge their opponents, the Phoenix Suns. The Suns, having the second-best record in the league, were an absolute pleasure to watch. With amazing talents like Chris Paul, Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton, among countless others, it’s still a shame to see such hard workers go home empty handed. As Chris Paul said after the game, it’s right back to work now.

Back to the champs! The whole team deserves great praise for their great work this season. Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday continue to be brilliant leaders. The injured Donte DiVincenzo was instrumental to the regular season and had a huge spirit on the sidelines following his injury. Players like Pat Cannaughton, Brook Lopez, PJ Tucker, and Bobby Portis Jr. were tremendous role players and teammates throughout these playoffs. Shout out to the whole team, but nobody deserves it more than their MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Greek Freak with 50!
Carrying the team on his back, Giannis played the best game of his life on the most important game of his life, scoring an astounding 50 of his team’s 105 points. A wrecking ball of a player, he was absolutely impossible to stop. Most notably, his unreliable free throw shooting is seemingly erased from his history, putting down 17/19 shots at the stripe. With his constant leadership, excellent talent, and iconic status to the Bucks, he was the easiest choice for this year’s NBA Finals MVP.

Coach Mike Budenholzer absolutely deserves his flowers as well. Facing constant criticism and fears of getting moved from the Bucks come next year, he truly stuck it to the world. Constantly encouraging his team with love and authority, Coach Bud proves his value to the NBA as a coach and a caring leader.
Another huge congratulation to Milwaukee’s finest! It was an amazing playoffs, and they absolutely deserve the glory after the unbreakable spirit they’ve shown.
