A few days ago, FM Hip Hop reported the tragic death of C-HII WVTTZ. Unfortunately, young WVTTZ is another artist added to the list of victims of gun violence. Initially, there were few details to report; now, new developments are available.

Updates on WVTTZ’s (Jayquan McKenley’s Death)

Young WVTTZ is, also known as Jayquan McKenley, lost his life on Saturday, February 5th. Authorities indicated The 18-year-old drill rapper was found in his car. A source shared that WVTTZ appeared to have just left the studio at the time of the incident. The same source went on to reveal the WVTTZ’s assailants then unleashed rounds on his parked car.

Currently, the police are investigating the motive. In addition, the authorities are investigating whether this incident is linked to gang-related activity.

Who was C-HII WVTTZ?

WVVTZ was not only an aspiring hip-hop artist; he was a son, brother, and valued family member. One relative fondly describes McKenley as a good kid and a role model.

” Look what happened. He’s a good kid; he comes from a good family. He was the oldest out of his mother’s children; He was a role model to them.”

Attempting to rationalize why good people die can be difficult. Unfortunately, the world rarely sees the entirety of an individual. They only see what the individual puts forth. No response is going to resolve the pain of the loss.

WVTTZ’s Dad’s Sentiments on Hip-Hop

Not everyone in McKenley’s family is fond of the young artist’s choices. McKenley’s father, in particular, looks at his son’s choice to participate in Drill Rap with disdain. One source reports the father’s reference to Drill Rap as “Devil Music.” However, the father does not talk negatively about hip hop as a whole. In his words,

“Our Hip Hop is no longer Hip Hop anymore!”

His father’s statement preceded his comments on the dark nature of  drill rap. While a pretty strong perspective, it’s his, and he has a right to his belief.

Despite the new discoveries, the investigation continues, with no suspects named yet. As a usual course of the investigation, the process takes time. However, thoroughness is championed above rapid outcomes.

May young McKenley’s family find peace and comfort as more information comes available; FM Hip Hop wishes the family all the best in the healing process from this tragic crime.

When more information is available, FM Hip Hop will report.
