New Details Suggest Archie Eversole Was Sleeping When Shot

When news first dropped in March that Archie Eversole was shot and killed, the exact details were fuzzy. Officers found Archie at a gas station suffering from a gunshot wound. Cops found him when responding to a police call. EMS took Archie to the hospital. Once Eversole regained consciousness, he told officers that he was in bed when someone shot him. The suspect taken into custody was the brother of Archie, Alexander Krause. Fans are constantly digging for new information on the case.

What We Knew About The Eversole Case

When I first covered the story, WSB-TV 2 Atlanta reported that Archie was shot on March 25th and found at a Chevron gas station. Reportedly, officers responded to the call.  But, sadly, upon arrival, they found the victim. EMS transport took Eversole to the hospital. However, his injuries were too severe.

We Learn More About The Shooting

Reporters from TMZ revealed information that was unknown to the public. At the time of the incident, Eversole only could verbalize with officers by moving his head. With a nod, he revealed to police that the shooter was still in his home. But, did not tell them who the shooter was. Eventually, he lost consciousness. Later, Archie was able to give more information to cops as days passed. According to Archie, someone he couldn’t identify, entered his bedroom and shot him in the face. Somehow, Archie was able to make it from his home to the gas station.

Reports continue as TMZ details the gruesome scene cops found at the home of Archie Eversole. When officers arrived on scene they found blood on the front door, leading to the bedroom, on the bedroom door, on the bedroom walls, on the bed, pillows and sheets.

Officers found Krause with blood on his clothes and an obvious limp at the crime scene. He told officers that he was checking on Archie. Police reports reveals that Alexander Krause later was arrested on April 12, 2022. Dekalb county is currently holding Krause on charges for murder.
