NBA YoungBoy and Lil Durk are proving some things never change. Neither artist seems willing to let go of the back and forth. The heat merely keeps on getting more intense.
YoungBoy vs. Lil Durk
A few days ago, FM Hip Hop broke a story wherein YoungBoy seemed to aim shots at rivals in his new single “Know Like I know.” Although NBA YoungBoy kept things cryptic, many knew who he was swinging at. There was no mention of blowback during the coverage. However, now we have it!
As if the track “Know Like I Know” didn’t put off enough heat. YoungBoy didn’t waste any time taking another aim. As a media outlet reports, one day after the release of his single, YoungBoy was seen on Instagram flossing with a sinister message.
“In the photo, YB is lying on a carpeted floor with the words “you niggas gone die” beside him, spelled out in $100 bills,” the source notes.
No explanation is needed. Appears Lil Durk got the message loud and clear. And no way was Lil Durk letting YoungBoy slide.
Back, Back, Back and Forth
Friday, Lil Durk went to social media with his message. Again, no mention of names. However, the clues Lil Durk dropped were blaring. In Lil Durk’s Instagram post, the artist appears posted up beside a pile of money, much like Young Boy’s. His money is also doing the talking. The same source notes,
“In the social media upload, Durkio is seen sitting on wooden steps while covering his face with a money fan as the words “Hurry yall bitch azz up” is spelled out beside him in what looks to be $100 bills.”
Coincidence, not.!
Context clues are fundamental to understanding what’s popping between the two artists. Those familiar are pretty sure Lil Durk has his sights trained on YoungBoy.
Lil Durk is Demonstrating YoungBoy And Everyone Else That Context is Everything
Yesterday, YoungBoy dropped another project, a mixtape entitled Colors. Weirdly, no one is discussing how fast YoungBoy is making these drops. It is a topic for another date. Nevertheless, Lil Durk made some pointed comments on his Instagram post, putting all eyes on Young Boy. Lil Durk is reported as saying,
“We Color blind, but we still see red,” adding a bunch of blood drop emojis.”
Trained observers believe the reference to “color” in Lil Durk’s post is a direct message to YoungBoy. Why? The title of Young Boy’s mixtape explains it all.
Pull up a Seat for Lil Durk Vs. Young Boy Match
Fans should pull up a seat and watch the action. At this point, the feud between YoungBoy and Lil Durk might become a long-standing battle of insults without end.
There are so many more critical things the hip-hop community could be doing. Here we are observing another seething exchange between beefing artists. So, hopefully, they will get the point real soon and move on. But, if they don’t, like before, FM Hip Hop will cover it.
