NBA YoungBoy might be a part of the new generation of rappers, but he’s far from a rookie. The Louisiana-born artist has announced his latest album, The Last Slimento, which is set to have 30 tracks.
The Last Slimento Is Set To Drop During Summer 2022
The Last Slimento will reportedly drop on Aug. 5 through his label, Never Broke Again, and Atlantic records. Its 30 songs include the records “I Hate YoungBoy,” “4KT Baby”–which already has an accompanying music video–and “Loner Life,” among others.

The 22-year-old released his Colors mixtape in January, which featured 19 songs with a guest appearance by Atlanta native Quando Rondo. Akademiks said that the solo project reportedly sold 78K the first week.
Following this mixtape, YoungBoy dropped another mixtape, but this time, a joint one with DaBaby titled Better Than You in March. According to Ak, it reportedly sold 29K during its first week.

The Louisiana Rapper Said He Thought About Quitting Music
While he’s been dropping music consistently, making him a staple in the new era of rap, he hasn’t been making much public appearances. The most anyone has heard from him as of late was during an interview with Ak on the popular app, Clubhouse. Surprisingly, he revealed that he wanted to stop doing music.
“I been wanting to stop doing music since two and a half years ago,” he said. “I’m really getting to that breaking point of, like, ‘Fuck that shit.’ I used to make five, 10 songs a day. Now I make like two songs.”
Thankfully, however, he has not shown any signs of stopping. Check out the 11-track sample of The Last Slimento below.
