Nelly Reacts.
Yesterday a photo of Madonna surfaced. Madonna is scantily clothed in the image with the caption
“Car Trouble.”
One thing is obvious: Madonna does not miss an opportunity to market herself. That is master thinking. However, her latest posting may not have garnered the attention she was hoping for.
The photos took Nelly aback; one could insert the side-eye emoticon here. Nelly let the world know Madonna was not passing the vibe test,
“Somethings should be left covered up!”
Dissecting Nelly’s Response.
Is Nelly right? There is no correct or incorrect way to evaluate Nelly’s response. His response is an opinion. Unless his opinion has a direct impact on Madonna’s bottom line, the opinion is irrelevant. People have something to say regardless of what you do. So If you are feeling something, then do you.
Thick Skin is Necessary.
However, Madonna may not possess the thickest skin. According to a past article, Madonna exchanged words with 50 Cent after a posting. The “Get Rich or Die Trying” artist went in on her. However, Fifty later offered an apology, but the apology did not impress Madonna.
“…, You were trying to shame me. You were trying to humiliate me. Your apology is fake. It’s bulls**t.”
How did 50 respond? He took back his apology and continued his tirade. So, Nelly may be in for a tongue lashing.
Madonna the Icon.
Madonna is an icon. In the pop world, “The Like a Virgin, ” performer is a pioneer for feminine liberation. She’s never held to public conventions. The “Material Girl” never feared putting herself in the public’s eye. Her boldness made her who she is. So why should she stop now? Who gets to decide when you should stop being you? With that said, our hope is Madonna takes everything in stride and keeps it moving.
