Nicki Minaj has released a new track, “Boyz,” with former Little Mix member Jesy Nelson. But the track, and accompanying video, caused a storm of comments, and critics blasted Jesy Nelson’s social media accusing her of blatant blackfishing.

British TikTok star NoHun accused Nelson of blackfishing due to her appearance in the song’s music video. He then shared the screenshots of an alleged conversation between NoHun and Little Mix member Leigh-Anne Pinnock, where Pinnock accuses Nelson of cutting her off. Pinnock and others went after Nelson, leading to Nelson blocking her.

Nicki Minaj Joins Jesy’s Side

Queen of Rap (and controversy) Nicki Minaj didn’t stay away from the conversation for too long.

Soon enough, Nicki Minaj and Jesy Nelson went on Instagram live to comment on the alleged screenshots and discuss the whole situation. Minaj spared no words in sharing how she felt.

“Sweetheart, take the text messages and shove it up your fucking ass. Print them text messages out, bust your ass open and shove it up your motherfucking ass. OK? And stop trying to hurt people and kill people’s lives and careers.”

Minaj then insinuated Pinnock was only jealous of Nelson’s success. “Stop. If you want a solo career, baby girl, just say that” Nicki continued. “You can go out and put your own music. We’re gonna support you and love you. That’s it. You don’t have to attack someone else.”

Nelson took over by stating she was always aware she was a white woman and never stated otherwise. She quit Little Mix when “people all of a sudden we’re saying it. I wasn’t on social media around that time, so I let my team [deal with it] because that was when I’d just left. But I mean, like, I love Black culture. I love Black music. That’s all I know; it’s what I grew up on.” Nelson also stated the whole controversy took “a toll on my mental health.”

Nicki Against The World

Nicki Minaj seems to be unstoppable in her recent crusades against vaccines and more. Minaj’s tweets about swollen balls end up with concerns from the world officials and Trinidad citizens. Nicki is heavily supported by a mobilized, and expanding, fan base. Minaj’s fans are sending threats to the sexual assault victim of Nicki’s husband. Meanwhile, Nicki’s new single reaches #1 on iTunes.
