Monday, January 17th Cardi’s fans opened Instagram to a massive surprise. While Cardi’s face was not in view, her comment was everything,
“Look what Ed built me in this ghetto ass studio,”
What does that message mean for fans? Cardi is putting in the work on a new project.
Cardi’s Present Path.
Sources say that it’s been about four years since the “Up” artist has come out with her project. But, of course, that doesn’t mean she hasn’t been hustling! Cardi’s voice has been out there. She keeps it relevant. Since her record drop in 2018, she’s dropped several singles and collaborations. Those releases include “Please Me” (2019) with Bruno Mars, “W.A.P.” (2020) with Megan the Stallion, “Up” (2021), and “Rumors” (2021) with Lizzo.
No New News!
The announcement of an impending album release isn’t new news! In December 2021, the artist hinted at releasing a new project, 2022! However, she indicated the journey has been an arduous one,
“It’s been a lot trying to balance out my new motherf****** life. I have a lot of jobs now.”
We get it! We also know, the star of “Bodak Yellow” fame doesn’t give up her word is her bond! So, here we are!
Cardi’s got the receipts.
Fans were simply awaiting verification, and Monday, they got it. Although the studio isn’t top-tier, it’s a working lab. That is all a genuine artist needs. All it takes is drive and impetus to put out the best! First-rate artists can turn coal into gems no matter what they are working with. Indeed, Belcalis has proven she’s a master at turning a little into everything.
Release News!
There is no conclusive release date; that’s okay! But, with Monday’s confirmation, Cardi’s is definitely in the studio! That is all the proof fans need. The project is coming, and we can’t wait!
