2021 is ending, and soon it will be time to celebrate. So, what better way to say adios to another year than with NBC’s New Year’s Eve Special?
Celebration Time Come On!
As in past years, NBC will run their annual New Year’s Eve Special on December 31st. Yes, the festivities will be on TV. And according to various media outlets, this year’s celebration promises to be banging.
The Source indicates that the performance roster will be packed with some of Hip Hop’s Hottest. The impressive list includes Jack Harlow, Saweetie, 24kGoldn, and more.
A New Year’s Eve Special, With a Little Twist
However, according to a source, this party will be slightly different from years past. As most are familiar, this yearly bash is typically live from New York Times Square. And those old enough to know, before Carson Daley, New Year’s Eve wasn’t complete without Dick Clark’s Rocking New Year’s and the ball drop. Unfortunately, the party bus leaves the Big Apple for Miami this year. And according to The Source, Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson will spark the hype as co-hosts.
Additional Change’s to the New Year’s Eve Special
But wait, the move from New York to Miami is not the only thing changing. The Source notes will also be Carson Daly’s final time in the host’s seat this year. So as of 2022, he will be officially passing the torch after 16 years of ushering in the new year. And that kind of makes us wonder who can possibly fill his shoes. I guess that is something we must wait to find out.
