Fivio Foreign released his anticipated debut album “B.I.B.L.E” on Apr 8. The New York legend, Nicki Minaj, already approved Fivio’s new project.

Nicki Gives Credit Where It’s Due

Nicki has never been hesitant to give New York artists their flowers. Last week, the “Blick Blick” rapper went on Instagram to supply Fivio with some well-deserved love.

Nicki Minaj highly approved Fivio’s fresh work. “This fivio foreign album rlly hittin the mthafkn spot,” she typed. Sooooo SOLID. Sonically authentic & well thought out. Cohesive body of work with a signature sound that is very true to where he’s from.”

“For Nothin,” “Changed On Me,” “On God,” and “Hello” were also cited as the best songs on the “B.I.B.L.E” album. Nicki also praised Chloe Bailey, Kaycyy, and Coi Leray for their features.

“Kayccy is [fire] on both of his songs, chloe bodied her verse. Loved coi too @fivioforeign_8fs.”

Can’t Take The City Out The Girl

Nicki Minaj has been majorly returning to her roots lately. The “Pinkprint” rapper recently teamed up with Brooklyn-bred Fivio Foreign and then released “We Go Up” in March. The single has already gone viral on TikTok, with most fans also using Nicki’s verse as the backdrop for striking a fierce pose.

While “We Go Up” is striking a chord with social media, its chart performance is also nothing to scoff at. The song flew to #1 on iTunes only hours after its drop and serves as Nicki’s 123rd Billboard Hot 100 entry.

The East Coast duo also recorded a music video set in Brooklyn by accompanying the song. It’s easy to tell from the behind-the-scenes footage Nicki is happy and in her element in her hometown amongst her peers.

Fivio And Nicki Put On For NY Drill

It can’t be refuted; today, drill as a genre is a massive Hip-Hop trend. Fivio Foreign, also being a leader of the pack in the NY drill wave, recently spoke to Hot 97 about the style.

“I feel like there’s a perspective out there, for drill music, that it’s just about beefing and dissing everybody… It’s one of my responsibilities to show people that’s not the only drill,” he explained. “It is also about the content. We can do drill beats, talk about fashion, and still go viral.”

You can also stream the “B.I.B.L.E” album on all the streaming services. You can then check the “We Go Up” single below:
