Nude Beaches

Fall has just graced us with its presence, tis the season for pumpkin spice coffee and turtlenecks. People are running off on vacations trying to bask in their last bit of sun. How fun would it be to go topless on a white sandy beach? Topless women with their breast pressed into their beach towels are normal. So what makes the idea of a nude beach so gut-wrenching? How can a bunch of nude people be comfortable walking around the beach with sandy cheeks and dingle berries? A lot of the disturbance comes from the fact that Americans are so conservative. We hide our sexuality and reserve our private parts for the bedroom instead of the boardwalk. Despite that, there are still nude beaches in the United States. But the top ten beaches are located in places like Spain, France, Denmark and Croatia. You can find a nude beach almost anywhere you go on vacation.

#HipHop4Her: The Normality Of Nude Beaches

Although it may seem like there a lot of nude beaches around the world, there are only a few located in one area. The nude beaches are distances away from cities, just to keep the kids from viewing the nudity.  Nude beaches are either legal, accepted by the community around the beach, or illegal. Regular beaches are seen as a public space that is accessible to anyone, it is the same for nude beaches but it is harder to gain access on the beach.

A nude beach can easily be confused with a topless beach. A nude beach is taking off all of your clothes and a topless beach is exactly what it sounds like. It would be just removing the top half of your clothing. How are people able to trust the whole concept of nude beaches when people can just break out into a full on session? It makes me wonder if there are regulations to attending a nude beach. Are minors allowed to be on the beach? Are there police or some sort of security to make sure people is not having sex in the bushes?

Most nude beaches are accompanied with a sign to show that there is a nude beach nearby or that you’re about to enter a nude beach zone. The signage is to warn those unfamiliar to the beach that there are naked people ahead, and for nude beach users that don’t enjoy being stared at. Nude beaches began in the 1950s in the French coast and have slowly gained acceptance over time. With most of the nude beaches being overseas, it’s easier to find a nude beach on vacation rather than in the states.
