Atlanta rapper, Omeretta The Great, went into detail about her beef with fellow female rapper, City Girls‘ JT, via Twitter in 2018.

Omeretta Explains the Social Media Exchange

In an interview on the “It’s Tricky With Raquel Harper” podcast, Harper asked the female emcee what transpired between her and JT back then.

“Basically, it was like 2018, and she was on Twitter saying something. I felt like [JT] was talking about me,” she told the media personality. “I felt like she was talking about me because she was signed to [Quality Control], and I felt like they used to be talkin’ junk about me, so I just replied to her and was like, ‘Direct yo sh*t.’ And she was like, ‘B*tch, wasn’t nobody talkin’ ’bout you,’ so I was like, ‘B***h, who you talkin’ ’bout?’ And we got to arguing.”

At the time, Omeretta thought the Florida native wrote a subliminal tweet about her on May 17, 2018.

“Your favorite rapper can’t make a song. She got barz thou,” JT wrote.

As a result, Omeretta responded to her, and the two went back and forth on the platform.

“Y’all out of town bitches is throwed the f**k off. B***h, I’m from Atlanta. THIS IS MY CITY. If you come here b***h, u gotta RESPECT ME or get THE F**K ON w**k a*s no rapping a*s h**s.”

However, it didn’t end there as they sparred via numerous tweets thereafter.

“Now I know, for sure, I’m doing something right when h**s go to making up beef. B***h sitcho a*s down, forreal. I never said s**t bout you. Don’t f****ng play with me!!!!!!”

During her interview, Omeretta was also asked if they had made amends since the social media spar, and she said it hadn’t happened yet.

The Atlanta Rapper Shoots Into Stardom

The 25-year-old musician rose to fame in 2019 after her “Megatron” challenge video, named after Nicki Minaj’s hit song, went viral. Minaj even shared the video on Instagram.

Most recently, she was cast for season 10 of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta but revealed to Raquel that she quit the show. She appeared for that one season which debuted on Jul. 5, 2021, and ended on Sep. 27, 2021.

Omeretta said she was misled by producers of the show, who, she claimed, were more concerned with “love” than “hip-hop.”

Lately, she has been busy promoting the videos for her latest singles, “Sorry For The Wait” and “Sorry Not Sorry.”
