Eleven LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS Organizations Sent an Open Letter to DaBaby and Invited him to a Meeting

Various LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS organizations wrote an open letter to DaBaby. The groups responded to the rapper’s homophobic comments at the Rolling Loud festival and invited him to an educational meeting. The meeting is in regards to DaBaby’s comments on Rolling loud.

During his performance at the Rolling Loud festival, DaBaby left homophobic remarks. At some point during the set rapper started saying: “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, any of the deadly sexually transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, put your cell phone light in the air. Ladies, if your pussy smells like water, put a cell phone light in the air. Fellas, if you ain’t suckin’ dick in the parking lot, put your cell phone lights in the air.”

Afterwards, the rapper has faced mass backlash on social media. Together with the criticism, DaBaby was also cancelled from multiple shows and replaced in some festival line-ups.

DaBaby has since posted apologies on his social media.
