The ‘Outrageous’ music video by The Audibles came out in the April of 2021. The clip has 1302 views, while the duo’s channel only counts 402 followers. Check it out in the video below.
The song itself would probably perfectly fit a night right. The track consists of auto-tuned mumble chants accompanied by sampled guitar and “tumbleweed” drums.
While the auto-tuned chants and rolling drums might sound too trap-generic and basic, it’s not. The psychedelic vibe is sewed through the whole track like a scarlet thread. Which makes it original and somewhat unique.
The music video tops the song experience. Tarantino-style titles mix with psychedelic club settings. The main characters are being dramatic, switch gender roles, and fall unconscious. If Pink Floyd appeared today and did “psychedelic trap,” they would probably sound like.
“While creating, we’ve always taken the approach of making what feels good and keeps us engaged during the process,” said The Audibles. “We were excited about the direction of ‘Outrageous’ from the start of the track to Sebastian Reynoso adding his unique touch.
‘Outrageous’ by The Audibles Joins NFL
The Audibles’ ‘Outrageous’ is also the first in the 2021-2022 NFL Songs of the Season series.
“We are blessed to be a part of the Inspire Change movement along with so many heroes the organization supports.”
The Songs of the Season is NFL’s somewhat of a ‘music campaign.’ It incorporates various emerging and famous artists into the games’ broadcasts, thus highlighting the artists. The series introduces different songs and puts them in all NFL promotions each month during the season. “We’re ecstatic that the energy of the song matches the NFL’s ‘Songs of the Season’ initiative,” The Audibles said. “We are blessed to be a part of the Inspire Change movement along with so many heroes the organization supports.”
