Only a few years ago, Post Malone (@postmalone) started gaining popularity with the song ‘White Iverson’. Then, his whole album Stoney blew up on Soundcloud. He went on to earn his first diamond with the song ‘Congratulations’, featuring Quavo.
Real name Austin Richard Post, he released his second album, Beerbongs & Bentleys in 2018, which was a commercial success, debuting at Number 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200. This album broke the record for the most simultaneous Top 20 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 with nine songs in the Top 20 chart! He earned his second diamond through this album with the song ‘rockstar’ featuring 21 Savage.
Only a year later, he came out with his third album, Hollywood’s Bleeding. With hot features including DaBaby, Halsey, Future, Meek Mill, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, and more, the album delivered the biggest streaming week for an album in 2019. Billboard reported that the album streamed 365.4 million-plus on-demand audio streams. The album debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and has also earned platinum certification. This marks Post’s second Number 1 album.
Through a lot of focus and hard work, he has now earned his third diamond platinum plaque. He and Swae Lee worked together to create the song ‘Sunflower’ for the album Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Soundtrack From & Inspired by the Motion Picture). ‘Sunflower’ is the latest record certified diamond by the RIAA.
Post’s manager, Dre London, said:
“I’m so proud of you @postmalone on your 3rd diamond Platinum Plaque! We’ve come so far staying on the right train our lane keeping focus like a camera lens! Set your goals high & don’t stop till you get there! The path from dreams to success really exists! #DreVision congrats @swaelee.”

Post had a huge night at the Billboard Music awards, taking home 9 total awards! Although he has been awfully quiet all year, we’re speculating that he is teasing the release of a new studio album. Excitement buzzes while fans await his next album. Surely, it will not disappoint!
