Prayers Up for DMX

The Hip Hop community has been devastated since news broke early Saturday morning about DMX. The legendary rapper was hospitalized following an alleged overdose.

It was reported that the rapper was in critical condition, in a vegetative state, and the outlook was grim.

When the story first broke, we received conflicting information. First reports stated X had been hospitalized because of an overdose. The story then became that he was hospitalized due to a heart attack. It was also reported that the heart attack was caused by the overdose. Whatever the cause, the fact remains, DMX is not doing well and we have been sending well wishes ever since.

There was a glimmer of hope when X’s manager told us the rapper was removed from his ventilator and breathing on his own, only to recant that statement as he was given incorrect information. The latest reports state that X is surrounded by loved ones as his children flown in to be by their father’s side. The Ruff Ryders Motorcycle Club also paid a visit to White Plains hospital in New York to pay tribute to the rapper.

At the moment DMX is still reportedly on life support and the Hip Hop community has not stopped hoping for a favorable outcome. A prayer vigil is set for today at 5 p.m. EST outside of White Plains Hospital. We hope you pull through this unscathed X. You are loved.
