R5 Homixide Dead At 22

R5 Homixide, Atlanta rapper and Playboi Carti affiliate has reportedly passed away at 22.

Fellow artist Problem Child confirmed the tragic news on Monday via Instagram writing: “Who tf gone watch my back now. Take me with you twin.”

Money Game Boo, another local rapper, also took to Instagram to share his grief, stating “your heart was as big as the world” and calling the artist “amazing”.

While there is no release on an official cause of death, rumors online suggest the rapper committed suicide.

Despite not having a major record deal, R5 Homixide released a substantial amount of music over the years. The rapper first dropped an album, titled Gvnganati 3, in March 2020. Some of his most popular tracks include Another OppGang BusinessCome Get Ya and Can’t Hang. Sadly, the artist had many unreleased songs in the works before his death that may now be released posthumously. His most recent release, Chrome Heart, came out in August 2021, with the music video attaining 60,000 views on YouTube to date.

R5 Homixide appeared on the YouTube show Lalaa Land, hosted by Lalaa Shepard. During the sit-down, the rapper spoke about beating a “murder charge” and several other cases. He also talked about how he transitioned to music from “the streets.”

Surprisingly, just a month ago, in his interview with Lalaa, the rapper said: “My life is Grand Theft Auto every day, you might or might not make it home.”

Meanwhile, fans took to Twitter to mourn R5 Homixide after his death. The team at FM Hip Hop also seeks to express their condolences to the loved ones of R5 Homixide
