Nene Breaksdown At Real Housewives Of Atlanta Reunion

Last night, part 3 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion aired, and it’s quite possible that this was the most dramatic reunion yet. Quite unexpectedly, NeNe Leakes, Ms. “So Nasty & So Rude” herself, had a major breakdown on camera when she was asked about her biological mother. The star began to shake uncontrollably and needed to be escorted off of the stage, as she whispered, “I can’t talk about my mom.”

Admittedly, it was painful to watch. None of us had ever seen NeNe in such a vulnerable state. Most of the Housewives rushed to NeNe’s side, offering support and words of affirmation, while some of the Housewives (Kandi & Claudia) lingered behind. It wasn’t until Kenya Moore chastised them, that both of them decided to join the group.

NeNe was well on her way to her hotel room, but after some coaching, and taking a few minutes backstage, she was able to return and finish the rest of the taping.

Some people accused NeNe of attempting to steal the spotlight once again. In case you missed it, Claudia Jordan and NeNe had a major falling out this season. The two have been at each other’s throats since the beginning. From Claudia clowning NeNe for her wig choices, to NeNe calling Claudia a “ho”, things have been on the decline between the two since Jordan set foot in Atlanta.

In the past, NeNe has accused Claudia of trying to take her down by attempting to get her booted from the show, [HERE] but it looks like Mrs. Leakes has won that battle too. Ironically, Claudia says she doesn’t know if she’ll be returning to RHOA for another season, while NeNe has made no mention of leaving.  [HERE]

Amidst all the drama, towards the end, the women seemed to be able to put all the drama aside. I don’t know what’s in store for the next season of RHOA, but it was refreshing to see the women hug it out at the end.  Claudia and NeNe even took a selfie together!

Perhaps this is the start of something new?
