One year has passed since Pop Smoke’s death as his influence still lives on.
Pop Smoke had been gunned down by a gang of robbers in his Hollywood Hills mansion last year.
Pop Smoke’s real name is Basha Barakah Jackson; his life has cut short at just 20 years old. On February 19th of 2019, he made a tragic mistake that many believe this robbery was linked to photos that he posted hours before the invasion. The images included a picture of him with his white range rover with a few digits from his home address in Hollywood Hills. He also tagged his current location on his Instagram page.
The murder took place at around 4:29 am where the robbers wore black masks to cover their identity. Unfortunately, after being shot, Pop Smoke was taken to Cedar’s Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Pop Smoke has become a massive success after his death. His Album Shoot for Stars Aim For The Moon became number one on the Billboard 200 charts. His album was executive produced by Rapper 50 Cent, one of Pop Smoke’s idols.
Pop Smoke’s life will continue to live on as long as we continue to blast and enjoy his music.
