REVOLT announces new show “Off Top” with Big Tigger and Rapsody

REVOLT announced a new show, “Off Top”, with Big Tigger and Rapsody.  The rap-video countdown series will be hosted by veteran hip-hop personality Big Tigger and acclaimed lyricist Rapsody. Tigger was the host of Rap City: Tha Basement, BET’s longest-running hip-hop show, from 1999-2005. 

Rapsody quickly earned respect as one of the top female emcees because of her Grammy-nominated feature on Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly. “Off Top” is set to be a modern twist on the traditional video format; it will deliver fresh content by new artists. For many, this will be their first introduction to the hip-hop forum.

Rapsody and Big Tigger will headline REVOLT’s new show, “Off Top”

REVOLT announced a new show “Off Top” with Big Tigger and Rapsody and the buzz is undeniable. “Off Top” will feature videos of today’s hottest rappers and performers, freestyles, and exclusive interviews with legendary rappers and emerging talent. You can expect to see Conway The Machine, Latto, G Herbo, Lil Tjay, Soulja Boy, and King Combs. The hosts will interview artists about the meaning behind their lyrics.  Tigger expressed his excitement to fill the void in hip-hop culture today. 

Music fans will discover fresh new music

Big Tigger and Rapsody will co-host REVOLT’s upcoming show “Off Top”.  The show will have a nostalgic element like video countdown forerunners Yo! MTV Raps and BET’s 106th and Park. Moreover, “Off Top” will include a social media component to attract young fans.   TikTok and Spotify users will be able to stream their favorite new artists. In each episode, the artist performs in music booths with live fan reactions from Instagram. The aim is to create an interactive experience.

“Off Top” premieres this Friday (July 23) at 9 a.m. EST. Tune in on REVOLT’s TV channel, YouTube and REVOLT.tv.
