The talented artist and businesswoman effectively stepped down from her position as CEO of her global company, Savage X Fenty. While this is quite alarming to many, fans of Ri-Ri can be assured that this is not a complete termination of her connection with the beauty brand.
Rihanna: Full Of Surprises
One thing Rihanna is super effective at is shocking the masses. She never ceases to amaze, whether with her elegant and cutting-edge style on the red carpet or her surprise baby announcement. Riri keeps the public on their toes. Fans were pleasantly surprised in 2018 when Rihanna announced she was embarking on a new endeavor, trying her hand as an entrepreneur in the fashion industry. While it may not have seemed so, it became quickly clear that this was more than an experiment. This was her leaning toward a passion. And more importantly, it was soul work. As an excited Rihanna told Us at the start of her venture,
“It was important to me to push the boundaries and also create a line that women can see themselves in. I want to make people look and feel good and have fun playing around with different styles.”
Looking back, no one will deny her strategic move was nothing more than pure genius. And that is why yesterday’s announcement was such a sobering one.

To the chagrin of many, according to Us, Rihanna is handing over the Savage x Fenty reins to Hillary Super. As distressing as this may seem, there is no need for concern. Those who know how the super performer moves understand she has excellent insight and instinct. And Super is more than capable as she brings experience from the Anthropologie Group.
However, for those who still feel this revelation brings a need to shed a little tear, there is really no need. It has been clarified that the “Work” artist isn’t going anywhere. Rihanna will still have a good deal of involvement with Savage X Fenty. As noted,
“For her part, Rihana will still serve in a leadership role for the brand as the executive chair.”
So it’s okay to breathe a sigh of relief.

People don’t always take change well. The fact that Rihanna is making such a change makes some uneasy. But change is a good thing. And evolvement is a necessary part of life and progress. And who knows what else the lovely “Lift Me Up” artist has in store. No one knows.
