On Friday, Jan. 14th, Texas rapper Sad Frosty died at age of 24.

According to Revolt, the rapper’s death was confirmed on his Instagram page two days after he passed. Therefore, the caption underneath the last photo of him says, “Long Live Sad Frosty 3/4/97 – 1/14/22.”
Many fans and artists have been mourning Sad Frosty’s death on social media
Michigan rapper PontiacMadeDDG commented “damn rip brodie.” Likewise, another artist from Atlanta, TyTheGuy commented “I love you and miss you brother I’m not a bit bit GOING HARD FOR U THE REST OF MY LIFE.” Similarly, Mike Gonsolin chimed in to say, “I love you Sam. You were the best friend I ever made out here. I’ll never forget you”
Frosty was born on March 4th, 1997. He was most famous for his 2018 “A.D.H.D. Freestyle”, and his 2019 album Playground. Then, the Houston rapper collaborated on the track, “Beavis and Butthead,” with DC The Don in 2021. Its music video gained about 1.4 million views on YouTube. As a result, Sad Frosty solidified himself as a popular underground musician.
Unfortunately, Sad Frosty’s death remains unknown. Therefore, the hip-hop community is in shock upon hearing the devastating news.
Hip-hop commentator @domislivenews tweeted, “Today was a crazy day, RIP SadFrosty, he was a good dude.” Then, he continued, “I met him when he was running a XXXTentacion fan page and he was a fan of mine and we started chopping it up and became cool, years later he started to do music and became SadFrosty, it was cool to see his evolution.” User @ETERNAL16_29 shared, “Another underground legend gone RIP SADFROSTY”
I know everyone is wondering what happened to Sad Frosty, recently speaking to him I found out he was in rehab and that was shocking because he hid everything so well, Long story short looks like he died of an accidental overdose, just know that he was trying to get better.
