Two days ago, Freddie Gibbs allegedly posted death threats to DJ Akademiks on Twitter. He claimed that he “coulda been smoked akademiks.” According to Freddie, Akademiks’s alleged girlfriend gave him the “home address months ago.”

The rapper then complained: “I be letting a lot of n-ggaz breathe The Lord’s good oxygen.”

Death threats and alleged third-party doxx came from the conflict of music interests.

Gibbs v. Akademiks: Jeezy

Back in June 2020, Gibbs told Bootleg Kev that Jeezy is an “irrelevant” musician. DJ Akademiks responded to Gibbs in fan style, “If Jeezy is irrelevant, Freddie Gibbs, you are absolutely irrelevant as well.”

Now the two are in a new parity on social media, the one with death threats. On October 30th, DJ Akademiks posted the fight of Kay Flock and Ron Suno at the Rolling Loud festival. Gibbs reposted Akademiks’ tweet and quoted, “I hope you post it when I run into you.”

Akademiks then also reposted Gibbs’s tweet and captured the retweet with “U still tweeting? U could came to find me already gangsta.”

Gibbs V. Akademiks: The Death Threats

Once Akademiks zeroed Gibbs on not being “gangsta” enough, their conflict went from zero to death threats. Gibbs posted on Twitter, “I coulda been smoked akademiks. His hoe gave me his home address months ago. The n-ggaz in LA he was with last week was not gon protect him.”

Luckily, “God got bigger plans for” Freddie now. “But when I get bored I’m back on yo ass,” the rapper promised.

From there, Freddie went to the philosophical thought. Apparently, Gibbs “be letting a lot of n-ggaz breathe The Lord’s good oxygen.” Unfortunately, “they still wanna pop it like they not privileged.”

DJ Akademiks is still reportedly alive. Do you think one should be physically responsible for their words on social media? Let us know on our social media: Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter!
