Chris Brown Dog Attack Victim Demands $1 Million in Damages

Patricia Avila and her sister were reportedly cleaners at Chris Brown’s mansion when Avila was allegedly attacked one of his dogs in 2020. She claims that Brown’s Caucasian Shepherd Ovcharka, Hades, had attacked her in his backyard. She is suing Brown for the damages.

According to Radar Online, Chris Brown kept two dogs, Zeus and Hades, in his Tarzana mansion. Avila said the animals were usually kept in separate rooms.

However, on December 12, 2020, Avila says Brown’s Caucasian Shepherd Ovcharka got out. She and her sister cleaned Brown’s Tarzana mansion that same day. Court documents state that Hades got out into the yard and allegedly bit Avila in the face. However, Avila claimed that her sister also suffered extensive injuries. She was found “covered in blood while she was screaming and crying for help”. Brown immediately called 911 and the housekeeper was rushed to the hospital where she had multiple surgeries. Avila also accused Brown of taking the dog 600 miles away to have it euthanized. She thinks this was an effort to “destroy evidence and flee the scene.”

Avila’s sister had said she was putting garbage in a trash can. All of a sudden, “a very large brown dog comes out of nowhere and viciously and brutally mauls, bites and attacks” her. This is according to her attorney, Nancy Doumanian.

Court proceedings so far

Avila claims that she properly served Brown, but he never appeared in court. Perhaps understandable for Brown, as he has another case to worry about. She is hoping for a $1 million default from the judges. Avila is asking for $1 million for the emotional distress she suffered. She is also asking for $1k for medical expenses, $24k in loss of earnings, and an unknown amount for future loss of earnings. Avila says she cleaned Brown’s home twice a week for $600 a day.

Akademiks shades Megan Thee Stallion- “She isn’t 100th of the talent” of Nicki Minaj

DJ Akademiks is always in the middle of something with a celebrity. This time he put his two cents in regarding Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj.

In a video, Akademiks said that the bar was low for popular female rappers in 2020. “The popular female rappers in 2020, the bar was this low.  “Truth be told, for all the male rappers, if it was on some Juwanna Man sh*t and could f*ckin’ trick the game and just have a big f*ckin’ fat ass and people think they’re a female and just wear like, a ton of lace fronts and f*ckin’ wigs and throw on a sh*t ton of lipgloss, yeah, the skill level is here,” he starts off by saying.

Megan hasn’t been in the rap game for that long and has already accomplished a lot that most artist haven’t. Akademiks seemed to think that those accomplishments happened because of certain factors.  “Imma tell y’all the truth. So, of course, she’s like, oh, everybody loves her and sh*t like that but come on man, there’s a lot that goes into sh*t like that,” he continued.

“She got a Fashion Nova deal, she’s a victim, she’s in GQ, she’s talking about Tory shot her, you know what I mean? It’s women empowerment. This is like, protect Black women. This is, ‘I got Beyoncé.’ It’s a lot of sh*t going on,” he continued after stating that Megan couldn’t rap with the “top 20 n*ggas.”

“Megan doesn’t even have half the talent of a hip-hop legend such as Nicki Minaj, Akademiks went on to say, adding that Nicki Minaj could “go toe-to-toe” with any male rapper. He even went as far as to  say Megan has “one flow” and her bars are “lazy.”

Megan has yet to comment or respond to this.

2020 Year End Wrap Up

2020 in Review

2020 was an unforgettable year. Kicking off a new decade, we had dreams and aspirations of new money, soaring to new heights; only to spend most the year of the house. Let’s recap the most saddest, terrifying, uncomfortable year that made humankind come together.

5. The Verzuz Effect

Verzuz might have been the most creative thing in 2020. Starting with Swizz Beatz and Timbaland playing records in the house, Verzuz grew into a phenomenon. We saw DMX and Snoop Dogg look like the fun uncles at the BBQ. Brandy/Monica and Jeezy/Gucci ended their beefs peacefully. Drunk Jadakiss became a meme. Drunk E-40 went viral. Beenie Man/Bounty Killer was probably the best one and is often overlooked. Verzuz gave us something to look forward to on the weekends.

4. The Deaths that Impacted the Culture

3 weeks into 2020, we found out  Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and 7 others perished in a helicopter crash. Weeks later, Pop Smoke was murdered. We would lose Fred The God Son to coronavirus. This might have been one of the most dangerous years for rappers as King Von, Mo3, FBG Duck  and others lost their lives to gun violence. Rappers were arrested by the feds at an all time high. We lost Chadwick Boseman to cancer- The Black Panther and the Black Mamba both left us this year.

3. The Year of Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion dominated 2020 in many ways. She had a Tupac like year, where she dominated the charts and headlines. The Hot Girl dropped Savage early in the year and had Beyoncé on the remix. Her label issues with 1501 Entertainment were documented. She would appear to be in a power couple with Tory Lanez, only for him to allegedly shot her in the foot. Cardi B and her would change the conversation about sexuality in music with WAP. She would drop her debut album “Good News“- where she would address Tory Lanez and dropped another record that we would hear everywhere with Body.

2. A Year of Protest

Racism and police brutality didn’t take a break in 2020. In a span of about a week, we found out about the murders of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. Then the world would stop when George Floyd was murdered by a cop kneeling on his neck for 9 minuets. The world erupted in protest in the middle of a pandemic. Police reform was a national conversation, some progress was made but the shootings of Rayshard Brooks and Jacob Blake-who survived reminded us of the progress that has yet to be made.

1b. The 2020 Presidential Election

The 2020 Presidential Election was like being awake during open heart surgery. The notion was anybody but Donald Trump. We got Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, who didn’t move the needle as much. The debates centered around police reform and recovering from coronavirus pandemic. Joe Biden and Donald Trump yelled at each other like 5 year old kids during the first debate. The 2nd one was a little more civil. Kamala Harris went full Aunty on Mike Pence. Election Day was a week long with the mail-in ballots being counted. Donald Trump was up early and prematurely claimed the win, but Biden came back with mail-in votes and was declared the winner. Trump still hasn’t conceded defeat.

1. COVID-19 Pandemic

This is no surprise. 2020 was the year of the pandemic. Since March, we been in some kind of lockdown, masked up, and social distancing. The United States has surpasses 20 Million cases and has 346K dead. Worldwide, 83.6 Million cases and 1.82 million dead, but in brighter news 47.2 million have recovered. The pandemic shut cities down, no concerts, sporting events had no fans after being postponed for months. The mask was made into a political statement as the United States became the epicenter of the pandemic. We have more understanding and vaccines on the horizon and hopefully we can come back as society from the year from year. Cheers to a better 2021.

Honorable Mentions

  • The Tiger King and Last Dance Documentaries entertain us during lockdown
  • Women run rap in 2020
  • The Will Smith, August Alsina, and Jada Pinkett Entanglement
  • The NBA Bubble is Entertaining.

MGK Claims That He’s As Impactful As Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, & Pop Smoke In 2020

Machine Gun Kelly (@machinegunkelly) has had a very successful 2020, and argues he hasn’t gotten the credit that he deserves. His album Tickets to My Downfall hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and his unique sound broke genre barriers. He also made advancements in the television and movie industries, featuring in several this year.

The conversation arose when Carl Chery tweeted: Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch and Pop Smoke own 2020. MGK responded with a tweet arguing his influence in the music industry this year should make him a viable candidate. See his reply below.

Carl Chery went on to respond to MGK’s tweet saying he was including all genres of music, not just rap. It just so happens that Lil Baby, Roddy Rich and Pop Smoke are all rap artists. Although the Texas born singer has a point, Carl Chery still doesn’t think it is enough to be considered at the forefront of music in 2020.

One last time, Carl Chery went on to prove his point by saying Roddy Rich’s song The Box” is the song of the year, at #1 for 4 weeks. Lil Baby was #1 for 5 weeks and his album was the only double platinum of the year, and Chery also called him “King of Features”. Lastly, Pop Smoke debuted at #1 and went back to #1 3 months later. He finished off with “Only a select few can be in that convo”.

No response was made by MGK after that, perhaps because Chery’s specific list did yield some similarities. MGK definitely deserves some recognition for the year he has had.
