Two decades after Tupac’s death and he continues to dominate headlines. However, a day ago, Kadeem Hardison opened up about an encounter with the legend. Hardison openly and honestly admits to how working with Pac made him Jealous.
Pac is a Bonafide Legned
How do you know you are a legend? If your name still populates posthumously regularly, you can conclude your reach is well beyond your life. Thus, you’ve become a legend. One thing is sure Tupac’s name makes headlines on the daily.
Proof Pac is a Legend
This platform covered Tupac’s impact on Will Smith’s life last year. A week ago. FM Hip Hop covered Hip hop legends Dr. Dre and Eminem’s tribute to Pac. Today the headline focus on Tupac’s impact on Kadeem Hardison. So it is evident that there’s no person Tupac came in contact with that he didn’t leave an impression upon, which is astounding.
Hardison’s Reflection
In an interview, Hardison talks about the cultural classic “Different World”. Specifically, he focuses on one of the show’s most popular episodes where he was given a chance to direct. The title of the episode is “Homey Don’t Know Me!” This episode was exceptional because it would feature Tupac and the now Jada Smith as co-actors. From past articles and interviews we understand, Jada and Tupac had a special friendship. According to a source,
“It was also the only time Tupac Shakur and Jada starred opposite each other on a major stage.”
Hardison went on to say how the scenes were so authentic, and the interaction between the two was nothing short of magical. In his words
“It was fantastic. They had seamless chemistry.”
Hardison’s Jealousy of Pac
So what made Hardison Jealous? He was envious of Tupac’s shine as an actor. According to Hardison, the skills Tupac had as an actor were remarkable. He had something hard to emulate. In Hardison’s words,
“I always felt like I loved Tupac as a rapper, but I was jealous of him as an actor because I just thought he had such range. He could touch places that I didn’t know if I could go. “
That is a fantastic compliment to Tupac’s talent and artistry.
The Real on What Hardison’s Feeling
While jealousy is often looked at negatively, Hardison is given a pass in this case. It’s not so much jealousy as it is awe of someone’s gift. Hardison’s shine is in no way diminished by Pac’s. It takes a humble spirit to recognize the talent of another. Kudos to Hardison, and may he continue to shine for the culture no matter what position he occupies.
