Tyga Apologizes For Controversial Music Video; Takes It Down

Tyga has apologized to Mexican Americans after receiving much backlash for his music video “Ay Caramba.” The “Rack City” rapper sat down with Los Angeles radio station Power 106 and Gil from the American Cholo podcast.

“I had no intentions of offending anybody…want to apologize to the Mexican community and my fans that are Mexican,” Tyga said. “I have a lot of Latin fans that are Puerto Rican, Dominican, that probably weren’t offended by this video, but my Mexican fans in L.A., there definitely was some that were offended.”

When the “Ay Caramba” controversy sparked, Tyga claimed to be confused about the hate. “I wasn’t making this video to be offensive, I was really making this video to be creative,” the artist explained.

Tyga later said that he drew his music video inspiration from the film “The Nutty Professor,” particularly from the character in a fat suit. “The character is just me in a fat suit…not even Mexican. This character was literally a reference…There’s a scene from [“The Nutty Professor” with a character in] the same kind of sweat suit on.”

Gil Responds To Tyga

Gil then added to the conversation, saying that the video did offend him. “I grew up my whole life in Mexican culture, being in L.A., so it’s kind of hard for me to separate the two.” He then asked Tyga if he would consider taking the video down. “If I feel like that’s right, then I don’t have a problem with that,” he said. He has since taken down the video. This is not the first time Tyga has dressed as a different “character” in his music videos.

Last month, he and YG released the music video for their song “Run.” Both rappers dressed up as white chicks, so many fans believed the two were poking fun at Kim and Khloe Kardashian.

Ja Rule Reacts To Will Smith’s Oscar Slap After The Resurfacing Of An Old Dave Chappelle Video

On Monday (Mar 28), comedian Dave Chappelle became a trending topic for an old joke he made about Ja Rule. Chappelle recalls seeing the Murder Inc. rapper on MTV around the time the World Trade Center collapsed by terrorists in 2001.

In addition, Chappelle asked Ja Rule what he thought of the horrific act of terror. However, Rule was evidently of the opinion that it was absurd.

“I remember right around September 11, Ja Rule was on MTV,” Chappelle says in a video clip circulating online. “They said, ‘We got Ja Rule’ on the phone. Let’s see what Ja’s thoughts are on this tragedy.’ Who gives a f**k what Ja Rule thinks at a time like this, n***a? This is ridiculous! I don’t wanna dance. I’m scared to death!”

Ja Rule Responds To His Fans In An Amusing Manner

Additionally, the clip was connected to the recent controversy surrounding Will Smith and Chris Rock at the 94th Annual Academy Awards. In addition, fans questioned, “Where is Ja?” Similarly, Ja Rule answered their call and appeared on Twitter shortly after that with the message: “Slapping season is OFFICIALLY in session…”

Moreover, the incident occurred on Sunday night (Mar 27). The Oscars were also playing. Furthermore, a confused crowd watched Will Smith walk up to Chris Rock and hit him across the face in the middle of his duties. Nonetheless, he found a G.I. Jane joke that Rock told concerning the bald head of Jada Pinkett offensive.

Celebrities Join In On The Controversy

Naturally, the internet exploded with memes and reactions at their expense. Celebrities such as 50 CentSnoop DoggOffset, and The Game all joined in.

“I feel you will smack the SH*T out of one of you n**gas bout my wife on national tv,” the Migos rapper tweeted. “Will Smith the greatest to do it.”

Will Smith Apologizes

In the end, Smith apologized for attacking Chris Rock onstage after the incident. Nevertheless, he acknowledges that he acted inappropriately but condemns violence in general.

“Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive,” Smith also wrote in part. “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I am embarrassed, and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.”

$NOT Explained His Proposal To “F*ck” Doja Cat

Communication face-to-face is hard enough, but ask $NOT and Doja Cat, sending written messages can often lead to accidental feeling-hurting. Sometimes, we’re an emoji or a dot away from the disastrous argument. Frequently, a text meant one way can be interpreted as offensive or hurtful because we can’t convey the tone of voice through text.

This is what $NOT claims happened between him and Doja Cat. The Floridian rapper recently released his song “Doja.” Yes, like the artist. She then asked, what was up?

Afterward, $NOT apologized on Twitter and claimed that Doja “misconstrued” his intention. The artist explains that he didn’t say he “f*cked” her, only that he “will f*ck” her. See? Much better.

The Latest from $NOT

“Doja,” not the Cat, has also been an instant success. Since its release ahead of schedule earlier this week, the song has racked up an impressive amount of listens. Fans have streamed the composition over 2.5 million times on Spotify and listened to it nearly 2 million times on Youtube. Meanwhile, it’s not even a week old.

“Doja” is also a part of $ NOT’s latest album, Ethereal, which is expected to release this Friday, the 11th.

Can this $NOT-Doja Cat Situation Be More Appropriate?

The drama started shortly after the release of “Doja.” The chorus of the song includes the line, “I’ll f*ck that bitch named Doja Cat, pull up in a Scat Pack (Haha).” Doja responded with this tweet:

$NOT was quick to explain to Doja Cat that she mistook his words.

https://twitter.com/snot/status/1490172766313668612?s=20&t=fJ21fgh5Rw-GfQP8RUxAtg

“Y’all got it misconstrued,” $NOT explained.“I said “I’ll fuck that bitch named Doja Cat.” It’s no disrespect to Doja. she a queen fr.”

Take notes, gentlemen. It doesn’t get smoother than this. With lyrics like,

Fuck your ho, I’ll leave her stranded […]

Like, what’s happening, cunt? (Huh)

Lay your hand upon my fabric

What woman wouldn’t swoon?

Doja Cat has deleted her tweet but has yet to respond to the apology… Or the invitation.

Soulja Boy: The First To Receive An Apology From Kanye West?

Soulja Boy knows how to become a trending topic. The rapper has made headlines again. this time, following a rare apology for Ye West. The rapper previously known as Kanye West, sent a text to Soulja to formally apologize for not alerting him of his verse removal.

Is Ye’s apology long overdue?

It has been over 2 months since the release of Ye’s album. Unfortunately, Soulja was publicly shamed due to his verse removal unbeknownst to him. Some questioned why he would be featured in the first place. This opened the gateway for some less than pleasant comments surrounding the album release.

Soulja Boy lashed out sending several tweets expressing how he felt disrespected. Most recently, West appeared on an episode of Drink Champs. His verse would have been featured on Remote Control, but it was not a great fit. West called the verse “trash.”

Following the interview, The rapper took to Instagram Livestream to respond to Ye’s remarks. “You should have motherf***in’ text me that and say that verse wasn’t good,” yelled Soulja.

The album itself generated a vast amount of buzz. Then again, West’s dramatic antics made way for the anticipation. The Chicago native is known for his extremes, like his most recent name change and artistic haircut.

The Taylor Swift controversy

Mr. West is almost certain to express his feelings with no regard to the other party.  The drama surrounding his infamous moment with Taylor Swift on the Video Music Awards stage in 2009, made history.   What should have been a glorious moment quickly turned sour.

West was not pleased that she has won Best Video by a female artist, over powerhouse singer, Beyonce.  West stormed the stage saying, “I’mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!” This moment did not go over well for Swift fans due to her embarrassment on national television.

“Kanye did call me and he was very sincere in his apology, and I accepted that apology,” the “Blank Space” singer told ABC Radio in 2009.

Jay Z and Ye beef

West also seemingly apologized to Jay Z.  The two have a longstanding feud stemming back to 2009.  Fans were disappointed surrounding this fallout because their music collaborations halted. Their Watch The Throne release was one of the greatest releases in hip hop.

On the song Brothers, Ye raps, “So I’m sorry for all the miscues/How about I admit that I miss you/I miss the fam and our brotherhood/I just wanna make sure that my brother’s good,” he raps. “So I ain’t embarrassed or above/ Flying out to Paris for a hug/ Or picking up the phone just to call up/Picking up the phone hope it’s all love,” he spits.

The tension between Jay and West stems from the absence of “The Carters” from the West Wedding Ye shared in an interview with Charlamagne Tha God. Reportedly, West has reached out to Jay Z in hopes to make amends. Considering Jay Z’s appearance on Donda, talks of Watch the Throne 2 have fans raving about the possible reunion.

Is Soulja Boy the first to receive an apology from Kanye?

In hindsight, the answer is no. Although this apology to the “Crank Dat” rapper is overdue, he can take a backseat in being the first in this category. However, fans question now, where is Chris Brown’s apology?

Tory Lanez Blames Meg Thee Stallion Shooting on Being “Too Drunk”

Tory Lanez Blames Meg Thee Stallion Shooting | FMHipHop.com
Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez

After being shot in the feet on July 12th, Megan Thee Stallion (@theestallion) claimed it was Tory Lanez (@torylanez) who is responsible.

TMZ reported to viewers that Tory, Megan, and a friend of hers were party hopping in Hollywood when the police responded to a call that shots were fired from or around an SUV.

Police identified the vehicle as Tory’s and everyone inside was asked to exit the vehicle slowly. Megan stepped out of the vehicle obviously bleeding and in pain. Tory was arrested for possessing a concealed weapon, but wasn’t charged for the emotional and physical damage he caused Megan that night.

15 hours after the shooting, Megan received a text from Tory apologizing. He never openly comes out to saying that he shot her, but he evidently has deep regrets. What he did say was, “I know u prolly never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart.” Again he voices his remorse, saying  “None the less shit should have never happened and I can’t change what did. I just feel horrible.”

His only plausible explanation for his actions was that he was “just too drunk.”

Megan Responds to Tory Lanez Allegation

Megan openly spoken about the incident, reporting to her followers how scary the whole situation was and sharing some pretty grisly photos. On her Instagram Live, she publicly called out Tory for lying about that night on the internet. She openly reveals that he was not charged because she never told the police about his involvement, though the L.A. County D.A. is considering charging him with felony assault with a firearm.

She finished her live story by saying “I just want y’all to know a bitch is alive and well and strong as fuck, and ready to get back to my regular programming with my own hot girl shit.”

Megan hasn’t responded to Tory’s apology and it can be assumed that she has no intentions of doing so.
