Snoop Doggs Mom Passes Away At the Age of 70

Snoop Dogg’s mother, Beverly Tate, has passed away at the age of 70. The west coast rap legend shared the unfortunate news via social media posts.  He shared a sweet picture of his mother holding a bouquet of flowers. “Thank u god for giving me an angel for a mother,” Snoop captioned.

His mother’s unfortunate passing shocks fans just days after announcing his 30-year marriage anniversary to his wife, Shante Broadus.

This past June, Snoop shared that his mother was in the hospital battling an illness. “Happy Sunday me and my brothers went to c mama today and she opened up her eyes to c us and let us know she still fighting. God is good,” he wrote. “Thanks for all the prayers 1 day at a time.” Although he did not publicly announce what she may have been battling, he asked for prayers.

An Angel Indeed

Snoop has been very vocal about his mother and the positive impact she has had on him. In his appearance on Red Table Talk, he shared how his mother chastised him following his rant towards Gayle King. “She didn’t say I was wrong she just said, ‘You know I raised you better than that. You’re a representation of us. Every woman that ever crossed your life, you’re a representation of that’ – so I got it,” he shared.

In a sit down with WNBA legend and long-time friend to Bryant, Lisa Leslie, King engaged 2003 rape allegations against Bryant.

Snoop let King have it via his Instagram story. He later apologized for his words to King on the matter. “I didn’t tell my team, I didn’t go to my publicist, I just did it. The apology is authentic. It’s sincere and I’m really sorry … just man up and deal with it. I don’t mind being checked. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong,” Snoop added.

We send out prayers to Snoop’s family in their time of need.
