Unveiling the Shadows: A Vegas Search Warrant Resurfaces Hope in Solving Tupac’s Murder

The mysterious and unsolved murder of rap icon Tupac Shakur has haunted the music world for over two decades. In a surprising turn of events, a recent search warrant executed in Las Vegas has brought new hope for justice. As well as closure to Tupac’s murder. The raid, conducted at the home of Paula Clemons in Henderson, Nevada, sparked talk about her potential connection to the murder of the legendary rapper.

What Does the Nevada Home Have To Do With Tupac’s Murder?

The significance of Paula Clemons’ home being searched lies in her association with Keefe D, a former Crip member, who has made public claims about his involvement in the tragic event. Keefe D previously said he was in the car with the person responsible for the shooting. Igniting curiosity and scrutiny among investigators and fans alike.

The roots of Tupac’s murder trace back to a heated altercation. Tupac, along with Death Row Records founder Suge Knight and others, engaged in a fight with Orlando Anderson, who was suspected of being involved in the shooting. The encounter was captured on surveillance video, leading to speculation that it may have triggered a retaliation after the Mike Tyson fight.

Orlando Anderson, the alleged shooter, has denied any involvement in Tupac’s murder until killed in a separate shootout. Despite the case remaining open, many believed the chances of solving it were low.

However, the recent search warrant at Paula Clemons’ home is a potential breakthrough in the investigation.

Insight From A Key Biggie Murder Detective

Greg Kading, a key murder investigator who worked on the case of another iconic rapper, The Notorious B.I.G., believes this new development could lead to answers. Kading gained insights into both Pac and Biggie’s murders while with the LAPD, also playing an essential role in uncovering crucial information from Keefe D back in 2009.

At the time, investigators made a deal with Keefe D that prevented them from using his confession to prosecute him. However, that arrangement became void once he went public with his story. Kading suspects that the Vegas Police Department may have been quietly building their case in recent years, waiting for the right moment to act. As the pieces fall into place, there is new hope for justice.

The search at Paula Clemons’ home indicates that the police had enough evidence to obtain a warrant, implying a credible connection to the Tupac murder case.

While this recent development brings newfound optimism, it is essential to approach it with cautious anticipation. Solving a case as complex and convoluted as Tupac’s murder requires meticulous investigation and examination of all available evidence. The passage of time may have blurred some details, but the dedication of law enforcement and the unyielding support of fans worldwide show that the quest for justice remains steadfast.

As we await further updates and developments in this ongoing investigation, let us remember Tupac Shakur not only as an exceptional artist but also as a symbol of resilience and courage. The impact of his words and music continues to resonate with generations, making it all the more imperative to bring those responsible for his untimely demise to justice.

In Conclusion

In the words of Tupac himself, “Reality is wrong. Dreams are for real.” And, for those who seek closure in his murder case, this recent search warrant is a glimmer of hope that the truth might finally emerge from the shadows that have haunted the legacy of one of hip-hop’s greatest artists.

“Jada has one of the most poignant verses I’ve ever heard,” he said. “‘It’s a shame he could rhyme n**ga love crime/Every late night he outside with the nine/You ain’t got chips, fuck the world/You got chips, you could fuck the next man’s girl/Sounds harsh but they been ripped apart my world.’

Benny The Butcher Shows Respect To Late Notorious B.I.G On “10 More Commandments”

However, Biggie’s original commandments are the divine rules of the streets. Benny’s new song continues B.I.G.’s “Ten Crack Commandments” released in 1997 on the “Life After Death” album.

Benny Gets The Stamp of Approval

The Griselda Representative explains his experience creating the song. But then, he touches base on a few commandments which apply today. In addition, he prioritizes getting a blessing for the record from the likes of DJ Premier and rap mogul Diddy, who came up with Biggie.

“How [Biggie] did one through ten, I went from 11 to 20. I covered the things that he didn’t cover,” Benny tells Apple Music’s Ebro Darden. “Like no social media posting — that’s something that he couldn’t talk about. I just filled in a few blanks.”

11th Commandment

Bad Boy Records C.E.O., Diddy gives his stamp of approval and features on the record. Benny The Butcher encourages leaving the streets soon as possible in his eleventh commandment. The two emphasize this since success in the industry is about longevity and elevation.

“The first chance you get, you better get out this shit.
Them old stories how you was gettin’ dough won’t amount to shit”

Furthermore, Diddy ends the song with highly encouraging words showing love to the black community and reminding listeners of who they are and the purpose they serve.

“It’s all in the mindset, Diddy says. We one of the world’s most valuable commodities… That’s Black culture, baby. We all legal now. We just gotta stick together and unify…get back to love, that Black love.”

“We are the original man, the Black man is God
And the Black woman gave birth to the Black man
You can imagine what she is”

Mark “The Wizard” Lee directs the “10 More Commandments” video. He follows Benny The Butcher through New York City streets. A cameo from D.J. Premier, who produces Biggie’s original “Ten Crack Commandments.” In addition, there are appearances from Fabolous, Boldy James, The Alchemist, and Daringer. Biggie’s Estate To Release NFTs 25 Years After His Death

After Biggie Smalls’ murder two and a half decades ago, the rap icon’s estate is ready to celebrate his legacy in a new way – through NFTs.

In collaboration with company OneOf, Biggie’s estate is behind this latest collection of commemorative non-fungible tokens. This digital token is also growing in popularity among celebrities. As a result, the Notorious B.I.G’s estate wanted in on the trend as well.

The East Coast rapper’s mother, Violetta Wallace, also released a statement on behalf of his estate. “We are excited about our partnership with OneOf and their expertise to memorialize my son Christopher.”

This news comes mere months after Tupac’s estate announced their NFT drop back then.

What Are NFTs, And Why Are They Controversial?

An NFT, or non-fungible token, is a unique, digital representation of a real-world item. In other words, non-fungible tokens, unlike other forms of non-fungible things, are irreplaceable.

Typical forms of NFTs include music, memes, and digital art pieces. Consumers often pay for these tokens with cryptocurrency like Ethereum. Instead of a physical receipt, the proof of purchase gets stored in a blockchain, a digital ledger used to keep any kind of online data.

The reason NFTs are so polarizing? They are allegedly bad for the environment. Most people buy NFTs using Ethereum, which takes up massive energy. Essentially, blockchain transactions must be verifiable, and users must jump through hoops to ensure the validity of their purchases.

This is referred to as ‘mining,’ which uses a concerning level of electricity. Based on the negative environmental impact cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin have, experts can infer that the level of carbon emissions of NFTs will affect the earth’s temperature. Regardless, this information doesn’t seem to be slowing down the popularity of NFTs.

As of now, there is no set release date. Violetta Wallace said she hopes this drop will “give his fans the opportunity to participate and honor their love of him and his music.” Biggie would’ve turned 50 years old this May.

Danny Boy Speaks Out About Biggie’s Murder Suspect: “Do I believe that man is a killer? Hell Yea.”

In an interview with The Art of Dialogue, former Death Row Records artist Danny Boy talks about Poochie. Police suspected Wardell “Poochie” Fouse of killing legendary rapper Biggie Smalls, but were unable to confirm the allegations. In the interview, Danny Boy talks about being uncomfortable around Poochie, “I was kind of eerie when Puja [Poochie] came around.”

The Cold Case

The Notorious B.I.G. was killed in a drive-by shooting on March 9th, 1997. Most people believe there can be only one reason for the murder: the death of Tupac Shakur in a strangely similar incident. Tupac and Biggie were famous rivals; many think that Biggie was involved in Tupac’s murder. Immediately following Tupac’s death, Biggie traveled to Pac’s home state of California and began rapping what many interpret as a diss track, insulting the recently departed Tupac. This, only added fuel to the fire. Danny Boy, part of the same label as Tupac, remembers it well.

“What really pierced my heart was hearing I’m going, going, back, back to Cali, like when I heard that after Pac’s death, you know for me it was kind of hard […] because we just lost them and it felt like a big taunting session.”

Although the reasons for Biggie’s murder are rarely disputed, to this day no perpetrator has been confirmed as the killer. There have been many theories over the years from corrupt cops, to distraught fans, to members of Death Row Records. Of particular note to this cold case, is that every theory generated a flood of wealth. Eventually, people began to create documentaries and put forth speculations simply to capitalize on the incident and make some cash.

Danny Boy on the Death of Biggie

Danny Boy’s interview with The Art of Dialogue began by discussing Suge Knight, the creator of Death Row Records, and documentaries made about the murder. The rapper is dismissive of the interviewer’s claims, but everything changes once he mentions Poochie.

“Tell me about Poochie.”
“Just want to shoot homies. Like that’s all I remember.”

The interviewer smells a story and presses for more. He’s clearly trying to get Danny Boy to say that he definitively believes Poochie to be the murderer, but Danny Boy keeps his cool.

“Yea I don’t know. I don’t think, no I don’t know. But do I believe that man was a killer? Hell yea.”

Poochie was killed in an unrelated incident in 2003. It wasn’t until 2006 when Poochie became a suspect in the cold case; a case that the police reopened in an attempt to prevent more wrongful death lawsuits from Biggie’s family. As a result, they had collected very little evidence (and zero testimony). Is this just a case of the police force framing a dead man? We’ll almost certainly never know.

Fat Joe Reflects On The Decades Long East vs. West Coast Beef

The Bronx legend Fat Joe expanded on an enlightening conversation with Minister Farrakhan during the height of the regional war.

Walking down memory lane

Fat Joe stepped on the music scene in 1993 and has since acquired 28 years of music and business acumen. Being in the game for so long, he has an inside perspective of politics within the rap industry. He gave a peek into those politics earlier this week (Dec. 21) during an interview with Big U on the Checc’n In Podcast.

According to Joe, he played a role in ending the prolific rivalry between the East and West Coast. This long-standing beef had violent consequences in the 1990’s rap scene particularly. During the height of this conflict, Joe and a number of other rappers sat down with civil rights activist Minister Farrakhan to discuss the issue. He claims a side conversation occurred between him and Ice Cube, demanding he play a bigger role in ending the beef.

The East vs. the West

While tensions between East and West coast rappers had been bubbling for years, it came to a head after the 1996-1997 deaths of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls. To this day there are differing accounts between rappers old enough to experience the feud in real-time. Some insist the hate between the two regions was real, meanwhile, some maintain the problems were exaggerated by the media.

“You should have been the n*gga tryin’ to bring the peace. That’s what I was trying to tell him,” he stated. “Everybody loves you, you could have set this sh*t up and squashed this.”

He recounted him and Inglewood rapper Mack 10 having mutual respect and interest in spreading positivity.

“From there, that showed people that New York and L.A. could work together, and we became a bond, and we was doing videos together and working,” he said. Additionally, he added: “I would like to say that eased the tension between the east coast and west coast. It needed something like that; a Fat Joe, Mack 10, and everybody start working with each other, showing brotherhood and unity.”

“DJ Quik and the dude Theo down there and he was with a few of them blood dudes and uh I went back up there and told Puffnell, “Some dudes is here y’all be careful you know and uh they never you know what I’m saying.” And uh, B.I.G., B.I.G., would still be here they would have used…If they wouldn’t have called us off. It’s unclear whether Quik intends to follow through with the lawsuit, considering how grave the accusations are. The offense, categorized as Slander, is punishable by law and could mean penalties for Mr. Keefe. Wack 100 also caught wind of the matter and shared his two cents on HipHopDX’s post.

“Don’t. He’s playing dumb, trying to clean up what he really said bout hisself. This is a attempt to show what he says isn’t credible, so his words can’t be used against him.”

The Real Reason Tupac Hated Jay Z

Tupac had beef. In fact, he had plenty of it. The man was practically a cattle rancher. Some were resolved prior to his untimely death in 1996, namely with Nas, but most were left raw and open. Recently, new light has been shed on one of those beefs, that of Jay-Z.

Gotti: A Brooklyn tale

The Tupac-Jay-Z beef is a bit of a mess. Conflicts in rap history are layered in second-hand stories, hearsay, and alleged statements. This one is no different, though it has humble origins. As we understand it, Tupac took specific issue with the Jay-Z-Biggie Smalls song “Brooklyn’s Finest”, off of Jay’s debut album Reasonable Doubt. His issue? These lines rapped by Biggie:

“If ‘Fay had twins, she’s probably have two Pacs!

Get it? Tu…Pacs?”

That’s it. That’s the catalyst. Could it be that the line was joke on Biggie’s marriage to Faith Evans? Is it possible that it was a joke over the rumors that Evans hooked up with Tupac? Is it just calling Tupac a baby? According to Irv Gotti, it didn’t have to be that way.

https://youtu.be/LosRJmzkbMw

While on Fat Joe’s The Art of Dialogue podcast, the CEO and co-founder of Murder Inc. Records said that working with Biggie was concerning. Gotti and Jigga wanted to “take over the world”, though starting in the homeland of Brooklyn could be dicey, as Biggie “owns all that”. Also of concern was the chance that Jay might be seen as Big Poppa’s “little man” and not an independent rapper. Nevertheless, it went forward. Biggie and Jay collaborated, and all seemed well. After all, it was just two lines and a little joke.

The Tupac Offensive

Regardless, Tupac took offense, considering the gauntlet to be thrown down. On his 1996 album Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory, Jay was in his crosshairs. Tracks like “Bomb First (My Second Reply)” go after Jay, as well throwing some serious shade at Nas, Mobb “Sleep” and the Notorious “P.I.G.”. Shakur attacks Hov throughout the album multiple times with lines like,

“Jay-Z die too!”

Later, the release of Until the End of Time in 2001 featured “F*** Friendz”.

“Understand this: ain’t no n***** like me! F*** Jay-Z! He broke and I smoke dearly.”

According to Gotti, that’s just what Biggie wanted. In fact, Gotti calls him “a mastermind”. In essence, The Notorious B.I.G. pitted Jay-Z against Tupac by way of his own “diss” lines. Tupac and Biggie themselves have a long history of being frenemies, with an ugly beef between them. What’s one more slight?

For all intents and purposes, the Tupac-Z beef could end here. As it stood, Hov included a glancing blow at Tupac by way of Biggie on a track. Pac unleashed some verbal artillery against him. Typical.

Enter Reggie Wright Jr.

The Wright side of history?

Wright could be the subject of his own documentary mini-series. The ex-Compton cop-turned head of Death Row Records security has stories to tell. From being close friends with the infamous Suge Knight, to possibly being implicated in the murders of both Tupac and Biggie, Wright is all over the place. At one point, he even ran Death Row Records. Though some might say he ran it into the ground. Safe to say, the man knows a thing or two.

Appearing on The Art of Dialogue himself just last Wednesday (October 13), Wright shared tale after tale. One of them was on, you guessed it, the Tupac-Jay Z beef.

https://youtu.be/ZupA_GaDJyk

Wright described Jay-Z as “Biggie’s mouthpiece back then”. In the interview, he seemed to corroborate the story that Biggie used Jay-Z to go after Tupac. “Biggie didn’t wanna go after like Pac like that,” Wright says. “Not sayin’ he couldn’t…Biggie wouldn’t be doin’ that.” Here’s where the story shifts. According to Wright, Jay-Z started the beef by dissing Tupac on stage.

“Jay-Z was the one on stage…Jay-Z just did a concert, and he was talkin’ s*** about Tupac on stage and stuff like that. So, Jay-Z was like the mouthpiece back then.”

Wright went on to claim that Biggie was on stage with Jay for some of it. These disses on stage allegedly took place in 1994, ’95, or even ’96. Evidently, Wright never heard anything from Tupac about these alleged disses. He chalks this up to Jay-Z not being big enough at the time.

And that’s where he leaves it.

Beef eaten?

So where does that leave us? So far as can be discerned, Tupac took offense to Jigga, either by onstage slamming or through a little Biggie line. If Jay was bagging on Tupac in ’94 or ’95, why did Tupac wait until ’96 to retaliate? Did he see Jay as big enough then?  Had Tupac had enough? Perhaps Tupac got wind of just how much of a “mouthpiece” Hov was to Biggie.

The release of “Brooklyn’s Finest” in ’96 seems to make the most sense. Reasonable Doubt dropped in June of ’96. Tupac would have gotten the message and worked up his response shortly afterward, as he would be murdered in just over two months. As Gotti said, Biggie threw the line in, Tupac didn’t like it and went after the up-and-comer. On one level or another, it appears to come down to disrespect, real or perceived.

In the end, only two men know for certain.

Mob James Speaks Out on Who Shot Biggie

Mob James, ex-Suge Knight’s capo, unresolved the mystery of Biggie’s murder. Mob went on VLADTV and revealed his insights on the notorious shooting in 1997; James thinks “Poochie” fired the shots.

“Poochie” is Bloods member and Suge Knight’s associate Wardell “Poochie” Fouse. Someone shot Poochie in the back in 2003 while motorcycling in Compton. Mob James described Biggie’s shooter as “a hitter for real, for real.” He also thinks, “Everybody at Death Row (Suge Knight’s label) had a certain talent, was a certain kind of way. Some cats had no talent whatsoever, some cats was in the fam for the paper, and the money was good, doing certain things.”

Diddy’s former bodyguard also brought another theory on The Notorious B.I.G.’s murder. In the same VLADTV clip, Gene Deal, the bodyguard, has assumed that some man in the bow tie pulled the trigger. Mob James responded: “Gene wasn’t there. Gene can’t say he seen the dude pulling the trigger. He just say he remembers seeing this guy with a bow tie around — and that’s his truth. He did see this. But that don’t say that that’s the man who did it.”

Previous Accusations

Biggie’s murder happened in 1997. It’s not the first time Poochie is being a case suspect. Previously, retired LAPD detective Greg Kading is supporting Mob James’s theory and already claimed Christopher Wallace had been shot by Wardell Fouse. Kading’s theory is: “Suge Knight hired Poochie via his girlfriend, “Theresa Swann,” to kill Wallace to avenge the death of Shakur, who, Kading alleges, was killed under the orders of Sean Combs.” However, to this day, the case remains unresolved.

Biggie’s death might still be a mystery. However, his legendary status is unmistakable and unquestionable. He recently was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Be sure to read more about it by clicking the link.
