Yung Miami Claims She’s Retired From Rap, “…I don’t even rap no more!”

It looks like Yung Miami of the Miami-bred duo City Girls may be already retired from the rap game. On Sunday, Yung Miami tweeted her reactions to the game between the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Rams. Another Twitter user asked the QC artist if she understood the game of football.

“Yes, I cheered up until high school, I know football very well!!!!!!”, she responded. This led to another person telling Yung Miami to make better music.

“B**** I don’t even rap no more! Eat this p**** h*e I retired!,” Yung Miami exclaimed. This has led many fans to believe she may have already retired from rap. If so, she may lean towards her new role in media. Yung Miami’s Caresha Please podcast launched on P. Diddy’s Revolt network earlier this year. So far, the show has featured guests such as Megan Thee Stallion, Kevin Gates, Saweetie and Diddy himself.

“Revolt is about giving a platform to the most authentic and disruptive voices in Hip-Hop that move the culture,” Puff stated in June. “Yung Miami is not only a superstar artist, she’s also unapologetically herself and brings a perspective women around the world can relate to, which is why I’m excited to bring her podcast to life.”

Caresha Please earned a nomination for Best Hip Hop Platform at this year’s BET Awards. City Girls have also picked up nods at both the BET Awards and the Billboard Music Awards over the last three years. In 2021, they received the “The Future is Female” award from Variety.

The duo haven’t released an album since 2020’s City On Lock. However, their latest track “Good Love” featuring Usher peaked at #70 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in July. As of now, it remains to be seen if Yung Miami has truly called it quits.

Saweetie Speaks On Past Relationship With Quavo

Saweetie made an appearance on Yung Miami’s podcast Caresha Please, opening up on her relationship with ex Quavo. The Icy Girl’s dating life has been a major topic of discussion since she entered the rap game. She’s been linked with everyone from Lil Baby to Justin Combs.

However, fans can’t seem to stop circling back to Saweetie’s two year relationship with Quavo. The “My Type” rapper and the Migos star split last year over what she called a “betrayal.” No specifics about the breakup have been revealed, but Saweetie did address the issue on Caresha Please.

Yung Miami grilled Saweetie over rumors that the “Hotel Lobby” rapper cheated on her, fracturing the relationship. However, the Sacremento native didn’t give a direct response. “I think the past is the past and I’ve moved on since then,” she said while making a face. The City Girl followed up by asking whether or not the relationship was toxic. “I think we had a lot of growing pains together,” Saweetie replied.

As the podcast continued, Yung Miami touched on Saweetie’s memorable moments with Quavo. Saweetie then shared her thoughts on where the relationship may have been heading.

“I thought we was gon’ spend the rest of our lives together,” the “Best Friend” artist said. “With him, I knew it was the one. It was different.”

Yung Miami couldn’t help but address the fallout of the breakup when Quavo repossessed Saweetie’s car. The rapper simply laughed and told the host that she enjoyed the luxury lifestyle, but she would have to get her next car herself.

Saweetie since Quavo

Since her breakup in 2021, Saweetie has been spotted with many male celebrities. Earlier this year, fans speculated that she was back with her ex Keith Powers after the two were spotted at a friend’s party. Rumors also circulated that she was seeing Lil Baby after he reportedly treated her to a shopping spree.

Saweetie addressed these relationships on Caresha Please. “I’ve encountered men who, like…You know, we have a good time and then after that I hear them talking like telling people that we hanging out and that we doing some extra stuff. But it’s just like, Boy, just shut your mouth’.”
