10 Artist Buzzin’ This Week…

We’re already a month into 2021 and I must say most artists are showing no signs of slowing down. Although it has been a struggle to keep up with the new artist and new releases, the streets have done their due diligence to keep me tapped in. Here are 10 artist buzzin this week:

Lil Durk: Lil Durk  started 2021 off strong with the release of The Voice (Deluxe). The project has been trending for the past week and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. When Durk first appeared on the scene a few years ago, I wasn’t a fan. Today, his growth as an artist is undeniable and he has become one of my favorite newer artist.

London Hill: If you’re from NYC and not tapped in with London Hill, you might be living under a rock. The Bronx native brings a combination of rap and reggae to the table. She has been compared to the likes of Foxy Brown on many occasions. London Hill’s consistency and hard work knocks the competition out the box, every time.

Dream Doll: Dream Doll was obviously born a star. From Starlets, Bad Girls Club and Love & Hip Hop, her name in the game is solidified. When Dream first started rapping, the bars weren’t hitting for a lot of people. Instead of giving up, Dream took the constructive criticism got to work and mastered her craft. She recently released a “Different (Freestyle)” that has everyone talking.

Rowdy Rebel: After serving nearly 6 years in prison, Rowdy Rebel was released on December 15, 2020. Since his release, the Brooklyn native has been right back in his bag; putting on for the GS9 family. His first single “Re-Route” off of Funk Flex’s upcoming project now sits at 3.1 million views.

MoneyBagg Yo: MoneyBagg Yo is a problem in the rap game and I’m happy the world is finally starting to realize it. Before the media attention surrounding his relationships, Money Bagg Yo has proven to be one of the most hardworking artist coming out of Memphis. If you’re just getting in tune, I suggest you tap in with previous projects like  2 Heartless and Fed Baby’s With Young boy NBA.

Fredo Bang: There is a lot of talent coming of of Baton Rogue, Louisiana and Fredo Bang is definitely making a name for himself. Two weeks ago, he released a mixtape entitled In The Name Of Gee (Still Most Hated) which features songs with people like Lil Durk, Sada Baby, Kevin Gates and more. I only see Fredo going up from here.

Coi Leray: I don’t know about you but Coi Leray just never disappoints to me. It’s super dope to see a female artist emerge and continue to grow while being herself. The New Jersey native recently released a single entitled “No More Parties” which is currently being played in the background on everybody’s Instagram and Tik Tok Videos.

Babyface Ray: The streets are talking and people are saying that Babyface Ray is the new voice of Detroit. The 28 year old is a legend in his city but in the process of gaining the respect of the world. He recently released a video with MoneyBagg Yo which is almost at 1 million views.

D Thang: I’m not sure how old D Thang is but I can assure you he is under 18 and lives a crazy life. One of my friends, introduced me to his music a few months ago and I’ve been tapped in ever since. Now, although I don’t condone the young boys and violence; D Thang’s songs are catchy and embody NY drill. He recently released a video entitled “Drama” that is almost at 100k views.

Cashy Cash: I’m not too sure where Cashy Cash came from but as of this week, he is now on my radar. The Bronx native linked with Don Q for “2 Step” and it’s definitely a bop. This is a track off of Cashy Cash’s latest project Richer Than My Opps which is currently being added to my library.
