To begin construction on a new $200-million campus, Dr. Dre has donated $10 million to Compton High School. Rightfully, the school is renaming its new performing arts center, the “Andre ‘Dr. Dre’ Young Performing Arts Center.”

Furthermore, a brand-new academic building on the new campus will accommodate roughly 1,800 students. The center will also feature a modern gym, an aquatic center, a football field, and a track.
In addition to Centennial High, Dre attended Fremont High before dropping out. He mentioned how things would have been different if better resources were available in his speech.
“I’ve always wondered how much further ahead I might have been had the resources I needed in school were available,” he said at the ceremony.
“If I had learned more about the business industry, I would have saved myself [an] extreme amount of time, money and most importantly, [made] a lot of friendships.”
The new campus will open in 2025.
Besides the donation to the high school, Dre also worked with Jimmy Iovine to open a magnet public school in South Los Angeles. In addition to donating $70 million to USC to establish a new academy.
“This city is special, and young people living in it are special,” Dre said on Saturday.
Dre Brags About His Daughter’s Acceptance To USC
Actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman were arrested in October 2019 after discovering a major scam involving them. They paid for their kids to get into the top schools and falsified their grades and achievements. This proves how fortunate some people are. Dr. Dre joked that he did not have to spend any time behind bars to ensure his daughter’s acceptance to USC, adding that she made it on her own. In contrast, it was quickly brought to the public’s attention that Dre donated $70 million to the university a few years ago. Dre has since removed the post.
He shared a photo of his daughter, declaring that she would be attending USC soon. “My daughter got accepted into USC all on her own. No jail time!!!” he wrote. While his daughter, Truly Young, maybe a bright star, Dre’s fans reminded him that he should probably not boast so loudly. According to Vulture, he and Jimmy Iovine donated $70 million to establish the USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology, and the Business of Innovation in 2013.
