Its not everyday Erykah Badu walks through your lunchroom.
The legendary Erykah Badu Tuesday April 12th surprised the students of Newark Highschool, in Newark, N.J, with a special lunchtime performance. Wearing sweats, a head wrap and her smile, she strolled into the lunchroom, smoothly waving hello to some students through the nosy cafeteria. As a few students started to realize who she was, one of her hit songs, “On and On” from her debut album Baduizm. When she started to sing however, that’s when you could feel the excitement.
As a huge fan of Badu and her work, I do not see this as a publicity thing or a media stunt. For those who are true fans, we know that not only is she a genuine artist, but she has a genuine soul. You can watch this video here!
