Diddy Shares The Moment He and Biggie Tried Ecstasy

Yesterday Sean Combs, otherwise known in the industry as Diddy, proved some moments stay with you forever.

Biggie and Diddy

Biggie and Diddy’s relationship ran deeper than collaborators. Diddy is credited with signing Notorious to his label in 1993. In 2021 Comb’s recounted how he came to the acquaintance of the legend. He expounded on how he knew rap was a passionate dream that Wallace would inevitably realize.

I realized that’s how big this moment was for him. This was really his dream. He couldn’t even eat. He just wanted for this to really happen, and it happened. It was all a dream. True story.”

Given Biggie’s legacy, no one can deny the legitimacy of that statement. Biggy penned it all in his “Juicy” lyrics from his “Ready to Die album.”

“It was all a dream; I used to read Word Up magazine Salt’ n’ Pepa and Heavy D up in the limousine. Born sinner, the opposite of a winner Remember when I used to eat sardines for dinner. Damn right, I like the life I live. Cause I went from negative to positive.

Diddy’s Shares a Memory

The fantastic thing is that Diddy had the unique opportunity to play a part in a chapter of the story of this legend. So, in a recent post celebrating the late BIG’s birthday Combs opened up about a little experience they shared. A moment of euphoria was shared in the studio shooting “Hypnotize.” The emotion was not all the two shared. That session turned into a moment both also shared a bit of Ecstasy. In Comb’s words,

That was a long time ago… it was the first time. It was just a little nibble…. But we was in extra high, high spirits.

We believe him.

Biggie’s 50th

Yesterday marked what would have been Christopher Wallace’s the Notorious’ 50th birthday. However, yesterday wasn’t merely a marker of how bright Biggie shone but how brilliant his legacy continues to shine and hypnotize. This makes Biggie’s moments shared with others, such as Diddy, poignant. Those moments serve to remind us how real and touchable legends once were. Moreso how genuinely human the Rap genius Biggie Smalls was.

Long live the legacy of the Notorious BIG and his contribution
